I bet that irresponsible and stupid owner is the main reason that dog acted the way it did.

Also how can you stand running? It always looks so awful to me.

Yes let's assume that's the case. Running isn't so bad, I actually like it.

As you were moving at more than walking pace it possibly thought you were playing. Stopping would've been the better option but the owner shouldn't have had it off lead.

Yeah I guess you're right. I suspect the dog didn't have any sinister intentions, but when it comes to fight or flight I am all about the flight so I was not stopping to see if he wanted to play or kill haha. But yes, irresponsible pet ownership I feel, it'd be one thing if it was at the park but this was just in the street.

Haha, something like that will get you going... Last time I went down the coast I went for a bush walk and suddenly the sky changed to almost black and it started hailing big chunks of ice... I think that day was the longest distance I had ever run in one go...I felt bloody amazing afterwards!

Haha yeah good to know that adrenaline will do it's work, I've often feared that when faced with something like a murderer chasing me I'd just let him take me rather than exert myself too much. Too bad we can't summon this energy all the time as you're right, it did feel good. My best finishing pace in a long time!

If you really want to give it a go the best way is to ease into it with interval training, try running for 30 seconds and then walking for 90 seconds or even 2 minutes a few times and eventually increase the running and decrease the walking. The biggest mistake people make is just trying to run non-stop straight away and struggling and feeling discouraged.

No, I don’t want to give it a go. I am happy with walking really, really, fast. Still, thank you for the advice.

Hey you! I thought you were trying to read through everything you had missed on the forum, then you were planning on joining in.... Oh well, how have you been?
I am good thanks Ini. Hope you are the same, have read some highs and lows for you, onwards and upwards I hope. I never did read everything, real life gets in the way a lot lately! But when I logged in tonight I had 19 likes lol. Real life doesn't give me 19 likes!

Question for all the late night and overnight shift workers. How do you unwind after a shift and do you have any special ways to help your brain switch off so you can fall asleep?
So since the start of the year my sleeping patterns have been pretty good. I am in bed, teeth brushed and face washed by 8 30, so last weekend end I had trouble falling to sleep after work and totally noticed it the next day, I just was not my self.
So any tips would be very much appreciated.
Sudoku. Or alcohol. Or both.

Right now for me things are on the upswing... Let the good times roll I say.

I saw that there is labeling debate going on atm ....... Like with how long it takes you to burn off the calories after eating serve ... Awesome idea - you can run to the shop and back, whilst buying the bad food - jesse might be into that research ;)

Apparently the space war is heating up! Oh no! No! No!

On nights I don't drink anything with caffeine in it after 1am. I go to bed within 30 minutes of getting home. I potter around on facebook and read. I don't eat, drink, shower. I wake up from about 11am, again potter around for a little while, leave the house for a couple of hours doing shopping or laundry or whatever, come home than straight back to bed until about 630pm. If I'm not working a night the following night I may not go to bed until mid morning then only for an hour or two. Sometimes I may have a Scotch as it's my afternoon although it's only 730am. I want to try and have a normal nights sleep. That will be me today as I am doing an early shift on Sunday. Back to nights on Monday.
After an 11pm finish, I get home, have some food as I haven't eaten since about 7pm and that was snacky, have a couple of wines, then go to bed around 1ish, depending on how quickly I fade. An odd night shift system but it works for me.

Hey @qtkt -- hope your ministry is flourishing :)
We are in a difficult area with some real challenges related to the age group of the locals and the repercussions of the CSG industry but we are doing our best. News since I last posted I think is that, as well as Vicar of Chinchilla I am also Area Dean (similar to area manager) of TWO deaneries. My area goes from Kingaroy in the east to Quilpie in the west
It is so good to have the Vicar of Chinchilla back!! @qtkt I have been wondering where you got to. I have missed you. :)

We got to have a Vicar of Dibley gif to celebrate your visit! ;)

Thanks @Lucas I love the Vicar of Dibley. Looking a little less like her these days. My weight is on the way down and I've lost 15kg. Half way to my goal.
