Just OK???? Oh my god. It was flipping brilliant. I need a DVD release of this stat!!! :dead::dead::dead:

Yes of course. Alex Mack was another show I went crazy over when I was young. I think I remember us chatting about the show a few months ago! :)

Yes I know that but how does Disney explain that "Simba" was a white lion in the early production phase? I am convinced Disney wanted to remake Kimba The White Lion but they couldn't get the rights so they went ahead with The Lion King.

All the similarities and interesting titbits like how Matthew Broderick thought he was going to do the voice in a Kimba The White Lion remake are listed here: http://www.kimbawlion.com/kimbawlion/rant2.htm :geek:

And to add there is a funny old google group discussion from 1993 with Roy Disney (They claimed they never heard of Kimba until The Lion King was released) where he talks about The Lion King and refers to Simba as Kimba. They could maybe explain it away with a typo or something but still hilarious...

Jill, you asked whether we had any "nice motherly figures"
in Disney's animated future.
Wait until you see next summer's "The Lion King," and
Kimba's mother. She's quite lovely.
Roy Disney

Hmm MAYBE. I'm still not convinced personally but either way The Lion King trumps Kimba, imitation or not. I actually only know of Kimba through him trying to ride on Simba's coattails.

Oh and didn't Kimba have an evil aunt? Anyway lets not get bogged down in details.

Poor Scar, before he earnt his nickname his name was Swahili for "garbage" while big bro gets to be named Mufasa which means king. Kinda getting some context for his issues here...

Yeah it was alright I guess but it never measured up to the actual movie. I only caught a handful of episodes of the cartoon series tho. I think it aired early Saturday mornings and I've never really been a morning person.

Anyway The Mask movie is one of my favourite films of all time. The comedy was awesome but Cameron Diaz made that movie super memorable for all the right reasons and I'm sure other boys agreed. :D
