Winter is awesome. Much better than humid summer with all that awful heat and stuff.
have to say at least in winter I can put extra layers on ... in summer there's only so much I can take off without being 1. villified 2. arrested
and sometimes you just cannot escape the heat ... whereas at least if you jump around or snuggle up you can warm up in winter :)

Tbh I just love winter because I love leather jackets.

i love long woolen coats and scarves and boots

i have a favourite pair of black slouch boots that have lasted me about 8 years .... I keep asking my bootmaker to perform another miracle to just get me through one more winter with them ... I wear them almost every day in winter

I also love the excuse to feed up the fire pit and break out the marshmallows! (not sure the neighbours share my enthusiasm though!)

I love the look of winter fashion, otherwise bring on an eternal summer I say. Yes the heat can be unbearable at times but nothing a quick swim and blast of the AC can't fix. Oh and dare I mention the zooper doopers...

weird this morning - left home - boots, layers, jumper, coat ... dropping into supermarket for office shop - coat on, wind blowing, feeling like its going to be a blustery, cold day ... came out 15 mins later - brilliant sunshine and I'm sure the temp had jumped 4-5 degrees in that short time ... sunglasses on ... regretting the jumper ... lost the coat!! was I just not paying attention and didn't notice the blue sky and because it was windy imagined it was bleak?

Monday ... sometimes you just have to get through it!

Are you in Sydney? I am well rugged up and while I can occasionally find some sun there is an icy wind that is actually the worst.

yes I'm in Sydney ... I see the wind has ramped up again here - so maybe we just got a 30 minute window without the wind

of course now sitting in airconditioned office so no need for all the layers until I head out again

Yes, ice cream or zooper dooper type icy poles would have to be the best part of summer.

I hate icy wind because it triggers my asthma.

I was in North Sydney which is a notorious wind tunnel, now that I've left it's not so bad but still a crappy cold day for me. It looks nice out but I've already been fooled so many times today alone.

Oh you have asthma? Is the icy wind worse for it? I'm not asthmatic but I do have a shocking lung capacity, I think it's called being unfit.

yes, i have asthma. for me whenever i walked and it was really windy my asthma would always play up. so i guess it is weird that i like winter so much. my learther jacket fetish must be strong.

Damn, I thought as much :( I absolutely loved the first season, in fact that season is probably my most favourite show I've ever watched. Bugger!!!! I hate when shows switch to focusing too much on relationships, I used to watch SVU all the time then it got a bit too invested in the romance side of things. Is House of Cards good? I was thinking of watching that after exams but I don't want to get attached to something that flops after a season or so again.

Also I just realised Ed's gf kind of reminds me of Scotty.

I agree, S01 of Suits is among one of the best (if not the best) seasons from all the TV shows I've ever watched. I have the sneaking suspicion that the writers poured everything they had in the first 20 episodes of the show. But it seems their creative juices ran out at about that point and the subsequent story lines have been more or less indistinguishable generic copies of other legal based shows.

That entirely depends on what type of shows you like. I'm not into politics and hesitated for quite a while before I caved in and gave House of Cards a chance. It's very dark and cynical (I'd call it realistic or at least closer to real life than other shows that delve in politics) unlike the West Wing which was incredibly idealistic in a left leaning sorta way. So I'd imagine it might not be everyone's cup of tea.

PS
IMO Ed's gf is much more attractive. In some angles Scotty comes across as a bit 'mannish' (haggard?) to me whereas Ed's girl is very soft and feminine in every social media (not airbrushed or something) pic I've seen of her.

I had frost so so thick on my car this morning. I tossed a bucket of water on it and jumped in and turned it and the wipers on and it refroze that quick.

I hope y'all are doing well. I've not been in so pardon me if anyone needed hugs.

I'm loving my new job its totally totally awesome.

I keep up with politics a bit (well.. try to), but in a left leaning sort of way. I'll probably give it a shot since I like that sort of dark stuff, except I still haven't gotten around to Breaking Bad woops.

It might be because Scotty is older than her, but yeah. They're both stunning women.

Pretty big call about Suits there, @Connoisseur.

What I meant by that is that HoC portrays politics and politicians in a very ruthless unflattering light unlike the West Wing which was full of syrupy idealism. The latter kinda bored me because it came across as what the writers hoped politics should be whereas with HoC it depicts politics as it really is albeit with a bit of over the top shenanigans. :D
