No, I haven't been to sleep yet, was watching sex and the city. Just catching up on forum chat, then bed. Well I'm in bed, but not asleep, obviously! I Have been having trouble sleeping at a reasonable hour lately
Oh it's funny, Samantha is such a slut but in a funny way, I have seen episodes a few times. Some laugh out loud momentsYeah, same here actually. I am on holidays though so I think that's got something to do with it.
I'm thinking about starting to watch Sex and the City. I've only ever seen a little bit here and there.
Any interesting points?
I kind of just liked a lot of the wording. For example, the first paragraph ends with: "Because the capabilities of such an intelligence may be impossible for a human to comprehend, the technological singularity is an occurrence beyond which events may become unpredictable, unfavorable, or even unfathomable." I really like the alliteration and how casually ominous it sounds. The whole article was just the perfect amount of scary.

It does sound very scary, but exciting.
I think so too. Apparently it's estimated to actually happen around 2045, although it could even occur as early as 2030. I like to think that estimation is lacking in proper, hard scientific evidence, because if it's real I don't think we're prepared for it.
You are right, we are so not prepared for this. Especially with this government.....
Yeah, it's one of those shows that a lot of people seem to watch again and again and really enjoy. I just looked it up and there are fewer episodes than I thought, so it might actually be something easy I can watch. Finally I can actually say which Sex and the City character I am!
Yes. I was also reading about the Trans-Pacific Partnership earlier which is equally as terrifying.
Oh I stole that from Joe Rogan... Where is Trala these days?I thought you were @Trala for a moment there
I was seriously going to go for a run sometime this long weekend. Obviously the gods want me to remain sedentary with all this rain.
I think I am a cross of all 4, maybe not so much Carrie, I think she is self obsessed, I love Samantha, she and Charlotte make me laughI find most people are a cross between 2 characters, possibly since they are largely caricatures. I hate to think how many times I've seen each episode. I am definitely a cross between Charlotte and Miranda, with all the annoying traits of each.
In The L Word I relate to Tina's personality so much, she is a bit too straight for me though.
