I love that orthodox Easter is a week later this year. Christmas is hard enough trying to see in laws and my parents. Now I can enjoy Easter this week with just my in laws and Easter with my side a week later. In saying that though it does feel like Easter is never ending. I should just go on holidays around this time to avoid it altogetherUgh Easter, I'm exhausted just thinking about it all. So I have Easter and Passover which both commence tomorrow, and literally the day after Passover finishes Orthodox Easter starts, and it appears I have to at least pretend to be involved in celebrating that too.
This is too much celebrating and eating and drinking and socialising for me I think.
I at least get a six day weekend for my birthday, too bad I'm hoping to sleep through that one this year (and possibly all future birthdays).

That's a good way to look at it really, you're right. And really, spreading out cheer is not so bad, it's just mildly exhausting.

Yes.
Yes.
Maybe.
You also have the Passover though, I definitely can see the exhaustion for you lol. the services can be long at times and extremely crowded too, mass is exhausting overall. Ok, so I didn't think this through, but I'm now dreading to do all this a week later again. That's a good way to look at it really, you're right. How are you enjoying Madonna's new album? Any favourite tracks?

I see brinkpeople.

And how about her gap-toothed makeover to be edgey? It coordinates with her regrowth. How are you enjoying Madonna's new album? Any favourite tracks?

Wait so is your side of family orthodox or eastern rite?
I never realised so many of you guys were orthodox.
I'm going to be such a pain in the backside with this. Technically both. But orthodox is the one I grew up to. My mum just does not really care for religion all that much and so that part of us was lost on all of us.Wait so is your side of family orthodox or eastern rite?

Enjoy mass, 10pm for me tonight.

I spent the first 21 years of my life in East Bentleigh. You were born at Moorabbin Hospital?I didn't. I was born in east bentleigh, but that's it. My parents hated the weather and made the move to Sydney when I was still young. I don't really remember much, as a kid everything is just the same- a big wonderland I suppose. I am yet to go to Melbourne after all that time. So I can't really be called a melbournite lol.

I'm not actually orthodox, but as per my highly multicultural family I have a whole heap of Greek relatives who are, plus my girlfriend is Serbian Orthodox so between them all I get dragged into observing most of the practices.
My mother quite purposely never baptised me, not sure why I celebrate so many religious holidays.[DOUBLEPOST=1427971499][/DOUBLEPOST]
Lol that gif seriously gets me every time.
So after driving all day I have arrived in Toowoomba for a 3day Easter festival ... And it starts pouring.
It's predicted to rain all weekend
All I can say is that I'm glad I'm staying in a unit, not camping onsite.

Isn't QLD supposed to be beautiful one day, perfect the next?
I blame the band: Switchfoot.
The last time they were playing a couple of year ago it rained so much it flooded and they had to shut down the festival on grounds for the last day. Had an awesome concert in the town though.

Oh that sucks @bleachy_dude. It seems to always rain during Easter. Some of my best festivals have been in the rain though. Admittedly so have some of my worst, but let's be positive.
What song?
Heartbeat Song by Kelly Clarkson.
