1,2,3, back to me.

Oh my God!

Finance --> Tick
Building Inspection --> Tick
Pest Inspection --> Tick

Looks like I have now hit the unconditional stage in buying a house.

Every time I think about it, I feel like I am going to throw up I am so nervous. It is like a mixture of elation and horror at the same time. I honestly never ever in my wildest dreams thought I would be in a position to buy a house, let alone a beautiful house with polished wooden floors, and a kitchen island bench. It is so beautiful every time I look at it online my eyes well with tears.

I am not in any way a leave it to the universe/magic happens type person but... My life changed for the extreme better 20 years ago when I moved to a unit, it was in this Avenue that I learned to love me, and from there my life slowly changed, I got clean, I edumacated myself, learned about direction, embraced opportunities, aligned myself with smart people and I met my partner. This Avenue has the same name. I would share the name, but if I did, my beautiful home would probably be petrol bombed by my haters by the close of business today Ha!

Back at work full time now, and my knee is almost back to 100% bendy.

Off to Brisvegas to celebrate for the weekend. Today it's good to be me.

Have a great weekend :) :)
How freakin exciting!!!

A new home to celebrate your success in life, you've earned it and deserve it. Reading your excitement and your appreciation for it made me realize I didn't even think of it like this. I married, had a child and next step was the home, I never really appreciated how lucky I was in that sense. I was just like ok, this is the next thing, got to get it done etc. Not until reading your events of where you are in life and how far you have come did I realize how big of a deal it was, rather I focused on the mortgage, payments etc. You stripped it back to the basics and made it sound so much more wonderful and added a graciousness to the event that I wish I took the time to see.

I hope you have a great weekend too :)

So my guilt of eating a whole pringles finally got to me that I went for a hour and a half walk in the afternoon/evening. I feel better for it now.

I had some vague plan to exert myself in some capacity today, I am yet to do it and it's not looking good. Maybe I should also eat a whole Pringle tin for motivation? It is tempting...

ummm no! That is not a good idea- though I can hardly talk now, with my credibility haha.

BTW- Glad to see you back :) Looks like you are looking to move into a place soon too... I skimmed over some of the things in this thread but my curious and gossipy self was directed to other threads. It's shameful I know lol

Oh I see, so DON'T eat the Pringles, gotcha. You always have such good advice haha.

I've attempted catching up on this thread but it seems like it's a total mess, and now things upstairs aren't looking much better. But yes I am looking to move soon, I still have a while left on my current lease but I am (rather ambitiously) considering purchasing a place - just need to stop being lazy and unorganised.

It's a mess alright! But I'm beyond curious sometimes lol. Maybe go to some open homes and it will give you a bit more motive and force the organization to take place.

Yep have started doing that recently, it's helpful to see how far my budget canrealistically stretch and it's good to visualise it a bit more. Sydney prices are a total bitch though, I am considering the Central Coast and inspected some houses there (an actual house vs a 1 bedder or even studio in Sydney) but that requires even more organisation on my part.

Sydney homes are way over priced atm. I swear we would not have bought our very home if it were on the market today, I would not have considered it at all. I can't believe how much in value it has gone up and the thing is you cant even make a profit from selling it because you wouldn't be able to afford much these days. I am thankful we bought the house when we did, I swear and even then it was borderline buy don't buy. It's terrifying to see how my children will cope one day.

The central coast sounds lovely! fresh air, great atmosphere and basically a lifestyle I much prefer. I have constantly dropped hints to the hubby to move that way, but work always will be the issue. His IT background will mean there will always be more jobs around Sydney... will have to look forward to it in our retirement days I suppose

hows the assignment going?

I am starting assignment 2 for this subject. Finally an essay, no reflection bs, but back to basic essays. first step: Research academic sources- this is the brutal part.

Finished it :P Doesn't really take me long but I am at the point where I don't care about my marks unless I pass LOL

Most of us coasties commute to Sydney for work... the lifestyle is worth the commute haha.

I don't... although I'm considering a career change and Sydney might be on the cards.

It's awful, surely prices will drop soon. It's good for selling investment properties, that's about it. You were lucky with your timing so that's good.

I haven't spent a huge amount of time on the central coast but it does seem nice, of course an added plus is proximity to @bleachy_dude hehe.

As bleachy said, people do commute, I agree that it seems daunting though.

Well my husbands main boss adheres to this lifestyle. He has a place he rents out here during the week and drives back early Friday to midday Monday and does it every week. My hubby's work is 5 minutes from home- I don't see him compromising this

I wouldn't mind living near all that positivity either ;)
