looks like reflection in a window to meDid anyone notice the background?????
One body no head and just a head with no body.
the guy is sitting next to a window, there is someone sitting on the other side of the window indoors ... the weird stuff you mention is reflection is it not?

I didn't notice the hashtag on this - just the big photo of Tully - and seriously thought it was referring to Tully as the natural wonder that needed saving
I don't know what you are saying. I agreed that I don't know her. I never claimed to know her. I comment solely on her public persona. Which is stuff she posts for the public to see.You know what guys - Tully is right. You do not know anything about the housemates real lives on the outside. You base everything on a few insty posts and tweets. Sure everyone is entitled to their opinion and rightly so, but sometimes people in here are downright nasty, petty and self absorbed- and in my opinion, way more attention seeking than any of the housemates.
I also think that Tully was not only just referring to herself , but also supporting some of the other housemates that get bagged relentlessly and often unfairly in here. Some of you really do need to go back and read what you have posted over time. Pot, kettle black.
She is putting herself out their as a public personality and selling things based on her public image. So, I don't have any problems commenting about her social media posts. It's ridiculous to be a public personality, who was on a television show and expect to stop people from talking about you.
People talking about her is the basis of her job. When people stop talking about her or following her, she has no job.
Seriously. There is a vast difference in commenting on a person's public persona and not wishing them well. I hope all the housemates have great lives.I like Tully. She is a very interesting person, has a great dog, and is a wonderful model. I wish her all the luck, she deserves it.
That doesn't mean I don't think Leo shouldn't pull up his pants in every photo, or that I wish he had done a more realistic training program that regular people can follow. Or that I wish Tully did more substantial things with her talent instead of travel promotion.
Tully is the person blurring the line between her image and her real life here, not us.
you're looking at it from the point of view that people on SM are totally clueless about why others use hashtags etc ... surely in this day and age they are not - and if they are they need to wise upIf Tully is googling her name and getting everyone to follow her on every platform then things are slow at the moment. expect another blog about it. Like I said I liked Tully in the house, outside the house I feel like she thinks she's above everyone.. That's just an opinion of how she comes across to me, plus she's not the only one that annoys me with the products in photos, Tim pisses me off too. I don't understand how people don't see through that whole shit? I guess I'm just old and cynical.
how is it offensive to put those tags in really? ... if you read through some of the comments on any of the photos the HG's post they often get asked where their clothes etc are from ... and the people asking dont read the comments before them ... and the question might have been asked and answered already ... then they criticise the HG for not answering them ... since Tully gets asked a lot about her clothes, sunnies etc she puts the tags up ... and good for her if that means $ in her pocket. Given the opportunity she has with so many followers why the hell not?! surely if she wasn't you'd be wanting to call her an idiot for NOT making hay while the sunshines. And if putting herself / pushing herself forward to keep that sun shining for as long as she can - good for her and any of the others who are doing it!
there is definitely a bit of green-eyed jelly monster happening around here - and its not just Tully that gets targetted but boy people love to get their digs in when they can
at least Tully puts her real name out there and represents herself ... very few of the people who bitch at her on SM do.
why the constant griping about Ryan being rich? where did people get that? AND what business is it of ours anyway? Are you saying rich people don't get to go on BB? My definition of rich will be different to the next person's anyway ... and its always bugged me when it gets down to final 2 or 3 HM's and the talk gets to someone deserving the win more not because they played the BB game better but because they have more need financially ... that's a total BS reason to win BB - if its going to be won that way then all HM's should have to fill in a means test form right at the start and all contestants should be equal ... what a load of BS that would be
<stepping down off soapbox and heading for the choccie biccies>
I have no issues with Tully, and the last time I mentioned her in a post was two positive things, but it is now 50 pages back. Would she prefer people on this forum say nice things but possibly infrequently, or what their reaction is to her public persona often?
I know!Hmmm some interesting things to think about after last nights tweet from Tully.
@Trala you popped into my mind instantly when I saw her tweet.
@Jt193 well said. I guess I just forget that anyone can read this thread. I don't want to be like those basement bound guys over at survivor sucks that literally stalk the BBUSA HGs.
Given that I was only talking about it a few weeks ago and the common defense to the poor behaviour regarding the verbal abuse was "it's okay to say mean things in here because it's the internet and they don't read it.." I thought her timing was great!
This demonstrates my point. We both know how hurtful words on a screen can be when they are directed at us. Housemates are no different. Words hurt, particularly when someone says a really nasty thing and it gets a pile of "likes" just to further validate the nastiness. I think a bit of criticism is okay and it is human nature, but some of the spite in this thread take it to a whole new level. I think a good measure for inappropriate vs appropriate would be, if you wouldn't say it to their face, then maybe reconsider your wording.
I am happy this dialog has been opened. We as a BB community need to remember HM's are real people, and words hurt, even when they are being delivered by faceless forum nick names. It is not okay to see a housemate be verbally abused or attacked online and say or do nothing. Doing nothing makes you part of the problem.

i don't think she's saying don't talk about her - maybe saying don't be judge and jury and spout crap as gospelI don't know what you are saying. I agreed that I don't know her. I never claimed to know her. I comment solely on her public persona. Which is stuff she posts for the public to see.

isn't that a fair enough expectation in a decent society?
I don't think anyone here has spouted crap as gospel. I don't think anyone here has claimed that they know these people in real life.i don't think she's saying don't talk about her - maybe saying don't be judge and jury and spout crap as gospel

Of course she wants people to talk about her, that's how she earns money.
Please show me where anyone was abused here?I know!

I certainly haven't seen it.
I mean here in this thread, which I guess Tully was referring to?
I'm sure there may have been abusive things posted in other places of the forum.

I see brinkpeople.
I thought the whole 1 degree of separation gag was if you actually knew Tully or Tim you would already be a new housemate.
"more substantial things" - thats us judging what we think is her 'career' - but its a part of the whole and for a lot of us its a whole new world we probably wouldn't have had much of an idea or an opinion on until seeing what the increase of popularity and SM allows these HMs to do - and enjoySeriously. in all honesty would any of us say NO to a fully paid for trip where the only price is our time and a few photos with hashtags ??

I think it might be a false economy. There will be a quite a few Instamerciallists hitting the trash heap at 30 without a career, savings, superannuation or qualification to fall back on. You'd take a free holiday, but I just can't see it paying off a mortgage."more substantial things" - thats us judging what we think is her 'career' - but its a part of the whole and for a lot of us its a whole new world we probably wouldn't have had much of an idea or an opinion on until seeing what the increase of popularity and SM allows these HMs to do - and enjoy

That's me judging her career. I think she is talented and smart. I think her career is very superficial and I wish she used her talents for more.
I don't see her, for example, tweeting photos of working with disabled kids like Sam does. I didn't see her post about helping orphans in Bali like others have done.
I'm not saying I would turn it down or that she should turn it down.
I don't think saying she could do more because she is talented is harsh or unfair.. It certainly isn't abuse.
The thing is: the stuff that is said on this forum is no different to what you'd see on any forum discussing characters on any television show. If anything the comments here are very tame in comparison.
The awkwardness comes into it due to the fact that the characters in this instance are real people. Something I know I forget all the time. I don't know them personally. To me they're just personas from a TV show.
The whole concept of Big Brother encourages people to judge the personas they put forward. We're encouraged to vote for the ones we like and the editing is done in a way to try and shape people's perceptions. They take advantage of people doing shit things (e.g. cheating on their partners) in order to boost ratings and interest. The last series more than ever they forced these people into roles through the editing, they forced them to be characters in order to put across the storyline they wanted.
So really I think it's only natural that fans continue just seeing them as characters to comment on instead of real people. Is this the fault of the BB fan community or more a representation of the messed up nature of this show and its production?
Also FTR I think it's important that we establish right now that laughing at and mocking a forum user from here on Twitter is no better than people here mocking one of the ex HMs. With so much talk of these "faceless" forum users maybe it's somehow been lost that they too are actually real people. I have no idea what's gone on with you and @delcan , @Trala . I've seen you reference it a few times but I've missed too much to know where it started. However in this instance I'm not sure if targeting and mocking @delcan on Twitter with Tully is the best way to make your point. I hate witch hunts...especially when the issue here (if there is even one) is certainly not contained to one poster.

I admit I read some of these cheap quick romance novels... don't judge me! So I wonder whether I will find this in ibooks haha.
Oh gosh! I'm guessing the pages are all about this then. Too late to pretend this didn't just happen

I have no idea. Literally the first and only page I read when I came on last night was Tully's tweet about the forum and then it was all on like donkey kong haha.
