Since we are clearly in TMI town, I'm assuming you are right handed, thus using the left for this particular job, your body thinks its someone else, not you doing your normal re arranging and scratching.
I am right handed, but I have always done it with the left, the right just feels awkward, I dunno how it works... I just do's what feels good!
