probably wasn't the best time to tweet about religion while David was being attacked by Pristians from this board about religious and prisis stuff, and mocking David fans in this thread..

I just didn't agree with what he tweeted, but I still respect him as a housemate and a person.

No he didn't - it was in the context of the tweet he was replying to, which implies the poster was Christ, and demanding respect because of that. Hence David pointing out the hypocrasy -

People should try to respect other religions and cultures, even if you don't agree with them...

Defending other people's genuine beliefs is far from "stupid", even if you don't believe in them yourself. Making a mockery of religion is always going to cause controversy no matter what. Wars are fought over it. And that includes here on this board.

I'm not getting into a debate on religion.
Yeah, it was to a point, then ridiculous kicked in. And the fanatics.
Anyway. I'm glad David wasn't a troll taking the mickey out of his fans, and happy you guys have him (so to speak) I think I always liked him because he didn't seem to want or need a career after the show, that's always the killer for me.
