Time to get back into the swing of working earlies when all I really want to do is lay!

I am an hour away from finishing my four month stint on nights. My next early is on Monday and am doing 1130-2000 for two days and two lates this week. Do your earlies start at 0700?
 
We only do the morning, afternoon and night rotation. There are a couple of short shift options for AIN's. But RN's and EN's do flat 8 hour shifts.
 
Switchboard is busiest during the day so we need more people then and it tapers off from about 6pm. The 8pm finish is partly to cover the evening breaks as there are only two late shift staff and one night shift.

Some places I have worked do a short shift of 6 hours, If Im there i'd rather be doing the 8

In some departments I've worked in I'd do 9.5 which was a four day week. In switch give me the 8 hours any day. As the department reliever I don't do Monday - Friday, I'm all over the place.

Ohh I was doing 9.5 in theatre, they are LONG days, but thankfully I was Monday to Thursday, good in that way, bad in others, sometimes I wish for a 9-5 office job, I did that for awhile though and was boring as batshit... can't win ;)

Is anybody here super dooper good at writing cover letters? It's NGO so just a cover letter, not selection criteria.

Kinda. Just go on the basis of keeping it concise and simple.. People tend to waffle on and potential employers get bored and stop reading.
 
I'm so awesome it's hard not to waffle on about my greatness.

I'm used to writing selection criteria for gov jobs, often 6 pages. Its hard to keep it to three paragraphs.

Last year i didnt put a tree up or any decorations, but this year @Trala has inspired me to at least buy a table top xmas tree, and some tinsel. I like christmas, but I think the meaning is lost... And i dont mean that in a religious sense, more its a time for reflection.

I think Melb finishes a week after. I work in an English language school so our terms are completely different -_- the exam some of our students are currently doing is a UK based English proficiency test.. I feel sorry for them haha
