Most of my posts in here are becoming about food but that being said, today's snack was Woolworths Select American Style Peanut Butter. I picked it up from Woolies, making sure it had the requisite ingredients etc. (they add molasses and the sugar level is higher).

I had been told that American peanut butter was much better than our own.

After toasting two bits of bread which popped up and went onto the floor, a third was made, slightly burnt.

I proceeded to put margarine on and a thick layer of the American style peanut butter and...

Honestly it was about the same in taste as Kraft peanut butter which has lower sugar and no molasses.

Definitely recommend it over others like Sanitarium and there was some other brand I got the other week that was horrible that I don't remember though but in my opinion, Kraft or American Style they both taste about the same.

Now I know who you are.

The peanut butter connoisseur!!

I like a good peanut butter toast in the morning. Not really fussy on the brand. Smooth or crunchy.

Or peanut butter with honey.

Or peanut butter with banana.

Yum.

@reepbot posted the periodic limb movement disorder, that seems more suited to you Jessy, did you say you have low iron? It is worth looking into further, and maybe seeing a specialist or someone. or sleep just leads to so much else in regards to health, Ive been there

Yeah that does sound better, I'll look into it. I have a few medical things I'm tackling right now, and yes thst includes low iron, so I'll see if I can combat the sleep in there too.

I think everything else would fall into place so much better if I could also get on top of my sleep.

Haha oh then I insist you do and post your sleep daily so people like mutz stop reminding me how shocking my sleep is.

The thing is I'm not though, I really think it's just become normal for me to feel this way. I have gone days at a time without sleep so I guess going to sleep each night is not something I take for granted.

At uni I was described as "never being asleep, but never really being awake either" lol just about sums me up I think.

Thats horrible, I used to be like that too, insomnia is a terrible thing! xx[DOUBLEPOST=1417238153][/DOUBLEPOST]
Peanut butter + vegemite = da bomb.

Have you had carrot and peanut butter? I don't eat PB but I have people who swear by that combo!

Yeah insomnia is awful, it's been a while since it's truly taken over and lately I've just been in the "bad sleeper" category which is not great but much better.

I have had the celery and PB combo, which is ok. I've never tried it with carrot though. It might make carrot slightly more palatable for me.[DOUBLEPOST=1417238769][/DOUBLEPOST]
Sorry hun, I don't think espousing the virtues of the evils of sugar is going to do you much good in this thread

Yes very true @reepbot - I love sugar, almost as much as trans fats.

I loveeee the little vibration celebration you get when you hit your goals!
WAIT!! Hold the phone. It vibrates??!! Oh I am so on the way to Fitbit ownership now!![DOUBLEPOST=1417239085][/DOUBLEPOST]
Moron burns down his own home in a riot then claims racism when fire brigade too busy to put it out.

Too bad he got out. Those people are making me sick.

Oh no, not preachy at all, I appreciate it. I haven't done a sleep study before, but I should look into it. I have spoken to my doc about it a lot over the years with moderate success levels, albeit only temporary ones.

I don't think I would have sleep apnoea, but restless legs is a possibility. The fitbit is good for reminding me how bad my sleep is, even if I'm not using it to change things at least I can be reminded to consider my options - like what you have suggested for example.

I do know some changes I need to make but am yet to actually do them. Things like a regular and reasonable sleeping time and absolutely no screens a good 30 mins before bed. But I'm a bit of a screen addict, so it's hard.

Thanks :)
Do you drink caffeine or soft drinks? I have restless leg syndrome and if I have too much caffeine or any sort of soft drink, I know i'm in for a painful night. The only way to describe it is as though you want to clamp your legs down so you can sleep.

No I don't drink any soft drink and I will have a coffee maybe like once a month if that. It has helped with my sleep among other things.

I guess I can recall times when I might have experienced something akin to restless legs syndrome, but nothing regular not debilitating.

My lifestyle has a lot of room for improvement though, probably the sleep thing is symptomatic of rather than the other way around.

I have to say Im pretty chuffed, I had a pretty relaxed saturday so far, didn't work out as much as I usually do, and a spot of shopping instead, so by 4:30, Im pretty happy with this!IMG_2987.jpg

I usually do 13km run/walk/jog so to know when I do that, compared to today's 7.5 Im going to totally smash it daily, great motivation!

Wow that's so good! I thought my 8000ish steps was pretty good for doing bugger all all day, but you sir have well and truly trumped me. Good for you!

Wait, seriously? O_O That sounds awful!

Also, you lot are making me want to get a Fitbit but I hate wearing things on my arms so much. Ugh. FOMO for sure.

Oh no I rarely wear mine on my wrist, I usually have it in my pocket or in my bag. It's more accurate anyway I feel, especially if you are using your arms for something else.

Do eeetttt!
