She's killing it.
I also looked at the davidbbau hashtag and the first 5 tweets were negative.

Is anyone around? Was thinking we could have a massive twitter fest like we did yesterday afternoon?

Make a tweet with #priyabbau and #bbau hashtags . And add

Priya is a good-value housemate

She is needed in the house

Yet she cannot win

Any vote to save Priya is money thrown away to the winner

none of us really know what will happen. we all thought she wouldn't survive quite a few evictions and we've always known she won't win... but our goal has been to get her to the final week. so we are realistic and possibly foolish but still giving it a red hot go to try and save Priya. I for one, will not be shocked if Priya has the least saves but at least I can say I sent votes to try and save her.

Priya Malik: The posh spice of Big Brother Australia
Nov 10, 2014, 05.25PM IST

[ Madhumita Thakur ]

This year's Big Brother Australia (BBAU) is making waves for various reasons and Priya Malik is certainly one of those.

The bold dark and black eye liners, long curly locks and well etched tattoos of 'Om' and 'Freedom' have clearly created a dramatic impact about this young lady of Indian-origin. Just like the Big Brother promos, where Priya was seen unabashedly admitting that she is bossy and likes to be talked about, her entry into the Big Brother house also immediately put her in a powerful role as the head of the house.

She has managed to convince her house mates and viewers too that she is very strategic, clear thinker and pragmatic in her approach amidst a bunch of some emotional, some confused and some love struck participants- which may or may not work in her favour. This Posh Spice of BBAU shocked everyone in the first week of her stay when she accepted the Big Brother's offer to take away a prize money of ten grand for herself at the cost of no food for the whole house for an entire week. While viewers like me were biting their nails wondering what would Priya do in such a situation, her partner in the house, Katie, cringed at the mere thought of how other housemates would hate them for bartering food for money. Even though Priya showcased a well thought out reasoning behind why she would do so, her partner (and many viewers too) believed it would be "wrong" to let others perceive you as materialistic.

Some contestants may have accused her of being conniving and tending to gravitate towards the power of the house each time when there is a shift in the power play which, although not entirely true, only showcases Priya's ability to assess the situation and forge her connection with people to gain an extra edge. And this is cardinally why she has become so relatable to most of the people Down Under, because these are the attributes one needs to cultivate when they uproot themselves from one place and plant themselves in a completely different environment. And being migrants, most of the Australians can identify with it. Her recent election as the head of the house, through public voting, has further strengthened that fact that Priya is a girl who can keep her head firmly placed over her shoulders even when the situations are adverse and every person around her is fighting for their own survival.

This Adelaide teacher is spunky, intelligent and good with people is something we all know, but what many of us do not know is the that this Indian lass has a superb sense of humor as well. She is a budding standup comedy artist who has participated in the comedy fests in Adelaide and Melbourne and doesn't bat an eyelid before making fun of the Indian quirkiness as well.

But this article isn't merely about if Priya should win the BBAU or not, rather it's about something more intangible which comes across to me as a viewer when I see someone from my own country and race gelling so well with people who are complete strangers to her in more ways than one.

Whether it's her well thought out strategy or the innate goodness of her heart, she is one participant of BBAU who has time and again made choices which have belied her housemates' expectations of her. First when she chose to save Gemma while the entire house voted for Jake (during elimination) and second when she chose to take Sandra along with her to the Sanctuary as a privilege of being the head of the house, as against Skye or Jason who are purportedly close to her.

Although it's a while before BBAU winner gets chosen by the people of Australia, Priya Malik has certainly stood out amongst a bunch of odd balls and appealed to the sense and sensibilities of the Australians. It will be interesting to watch how Priya manages to survive in this house with her intelligent and responsible persona, as the race to winner's position heats up in the coming episodes.

Me throughout this whole competition. I honestly expected her to go in Week 3 against Katie and Travis, again in Week 6 against Jason and David. I'm very very proud of her and I'm hoping that my 100 votes just then have counted.

(Yes i'm bragging, but I deserve to ;))

YAAAASSSSSS!

Does anybody have a nice screencap of Prisus actually wearing her ICONIC Rosie the Riveter outfit in the house? I remember that she's got this whole bandana paired with blue outfit ensemble that just screams WE CAN DO IT.
