My bloody husband's home now (he travels a LOT) so he's all WATCHY WATCHY and I can't argue, as he tolerates Big Brother when I view. I have to say, I like one day matches when NZ plays Orstralia... But basically not for the actual cricket - more the 8 hour drinking session it gives you excuse to do.

Haha, I'm the one that forces everyone to watch in my house, the only good thing is we have 3 TVs (yes, too many) so I take the good one and shove the others off elsewhere if they don't want to get in on it. But test cricket, that is an awesome excuse to drink and be merry all day, TV on, booze out, BBQ and the pool, perfect day.

Hahah YASS! The first and only time I actually went to watch a game at the SCG I got absolutely SMASHED.
So much fun. In university days (smuggle a hip flask in one's posterior - not passage NO, but down the butt crack), I got spectacularly smashed, then had TV crew turn up to interview over intermission. I only remember begging "Please don't ask me anything, my Dad will kill me if I'm on TV this drunk"..

I'm gutted. My nephew is v.good at tennis, so I optimistically enrolled my daughters (aged 7 & 8) in tennis camp, on the days I work over school holidays. But no. It appears my nephew received his nationally ranked talent from his father, not my family's genes. Still. My girls love it.

Oh cool, good luck to him!

I was approached by a tennis coach I think around 14/15 and asked if I would join his club so he could coach me but I was like "no sorry, I'm getting stoned after school". THE DRIVE.

I'm more of a TENNIS/SWIMMING kind of guy. Oh and volleyball.

I was pretty sporty as a child. I played tennis, hockey, was in Swim Squad, little Aths and really wanted to do cricket. But gradually gave them all up as I dedicated more and more time to my horse riding. My swimming teacher was gutted when I gave that up, apparently I had real talent for it, didn't really regret it though, still swim a fair bit, but only in the ocean or our pool, the chlorine kills my skin and hair.

Life's funny when you look back. Initially you're all "WHY DIDNT I SEIZE THE DAY", I believe, but then when you look at what could have been, versus what is, if you're not a meth head, I reckon, most decisions are good. For me at least, and you don't sound like you're all Aggasi, and bitter, so good move!

Wow! The only time I brush my hair is before I wash it (so like, once a week) and if I have to do something with it for horse riding, otherwise nah, can't be bothered. In fact my hair care routine reflects that last comment completely, lucky it puts up with it, it's very accommodating, not needed to be washed more than once a week, for which I am very grateful as it's so long it takes forever to wash and comb.

Well I have very lofty ambitions and aimed to brush it everyday of this week, so far so good. I figured there is only so much birdsnest that one person can wear in a single lifetime.

Horse riding! Awesome. I've never ridden but I'd like to.

Ocean > pools

I practically lived at the beach when I was a kid. Fond memories of having a condom slapped across my face in the surf at 9 years old, I think that's why I'm such a poof.

I played tennis too, and I was fairly good myself, and I used to have the best time, but then the tennis place got this new, young, idealistic coach who dared to correct my form, so I chucked a, YOU CAN'T CONTROL ME, YOU'RE WORKING FOR THE MAN sort of tantrum and never went back.

Funnily enough that's the exact same reason I stopped doing karate. Like, "Um, sensei, sorry, but who the fuck do you think you are?" Heh.

The only thing I excelled at, academics aside (until booze made me average :arghh:) was horse riding. I was pretty okay at show jumping, on ponies... Nationally ranked even, many years ago... Those days have gone but I still dream of being at a circuit show, realising I'm really fat, and it's a big ask for my pony to clear fences..

Yeah, I love my horse riding. I used to do mostly eventing, but the past year or two I've concentrated more on Dressage after I had a massive fall while jumping that knocked me around a bit. Think I want to go back to eventing more though, nothing compares to the thrill of the cross country.

So, like I said the other day, I don't sport.

I will occasionally play the second most boring sport though which is golf. I do inexplicably enjoy that.

I like going to the beach if that counts as swimming?

Beach is most certainly best, but I don't think you can count it as swimming unless you actually go out into the water a decent way.

As for Golf, now that IS the most boring sport known to man, closely followed by baseball, which is hideous to watch. Although, that was a sport I forgot, I also played softball for a few years, really did love that, even though the uniforms are as dinky as they come.

Also, any form of motor racing (which doesn't even count cause I don't think it's a 'sport') are just the worst. Luckily they're mostly on pay TV.

I loved eventing (YEARS AGO) But my wee fella had issues with water jumps. Average at dressage, could do well at cross country depending on the water jump, and great at show jumping. I'm one of 3 daughters, and we all ended up doing well in different disciplines (back in NZ).. My eldest sister ended up concentrating on dressage, my second eldest, eventing, and me show jumping (suited my personality!).. My POOR BASTARD parents, in hindsight. We were away every weekend, travelling hundreds of kilometres, trying to coordinate events. Mind you, we were poor farmers, so if you didn't win and get prize money, you were subbed out! Show jumping funded my life from 13yrs, including school camp payments etc!
