What happened was, the producers realised Jake was leaving, so they found a Gold Coast model to replace him as Skye's love interest. Then Skye followed him around the whole time and he looked incredibly uncomfortable, but then he remembered Skye is the most popular housemate, so he went along with it.

Then at a party someone dared Skye and Leo to kiss and he went and did it, then he wiped his mouth after it.

After that he pulled all this lovey dovey shit as pointed out by Ryan "Baabbyy? Lets go to the pink room for a cuddle!" which is clearly his attempt at grabbing votes off Skyes fanbase.
