Contrary to opinion I'm not been a deliberate tease (unlike some other posters), I've been diligently googling for a way to get my headphones to function as a mic but no dice thus far. I'm open to suggestions.

2013. Also replace is a bit of a strong word . It was only likely going to be a one-off thing, but not an "official replacement". But speaking of that official podcast, this is not the last you've heard of it.......but I've said too much now.

Do you have a video camera (not webcam)? You could possibly connect that to the PC and use its mic to record.

Sooo…I just tried to do one, but faced a teeny bit of stage fright and a few problems…and have nothing to show for it. The first hurdle happened when the website wanted me to allow microphone and webcam.

"Webcam?! Will anyone see me? I need to tidy the place! What is this sorcery?! "

So yeah…I may or may not have had knee-jerk reaction and covered the laptop camera with my hand (in a panicky, illogical manner).

Anyhoo, halfway through recording the Wi-Fi dropped out (I was hiding in the bedroom and apparently the signal is so crap it won’t reach that far).

Bottom line – you all just got lucky, and are spared the pain. Lol

But I have really enjoyed listening to others. Loving this thread.

This is probably the least judgemental, most supportive, most generous forum out there for bloody anything.

Serious bunch of good eggs here. And while my nether regions are probably reacting more than they should - gay men, straight men, women oh my! - y'all are a good bunch and make me smile or full on laugh.

And @Oswin - even though the popup says webcam, it's just tied in with your voice xo
