Any smart person would take it, and invest it. AT LEAST place it in a savings account, if not a term-deposit or preferably into shares. That could translate into several 100,000s by the time she's retired if invested well. Just because you don't need it or know how to use it today doesn't mean you won't need it in the future

I get where you're coming from man but she's 20 and I'm sure no one has been offered that much money at that age, idk man.
