OMG! Muso bizz is trickery? lol! :) It's all about the dollars -- and McLaren was, well, the Ferrari of it all. Such a wanker; but he believed every word he uttered... Fark... the Pistols aren't saleable anymore... here's my stab at it:

yeah I know you know, I wished everyone knew. LOL Someone asked me "can you send me what you've done on soundcloud"?
I said "here are some titles go buy them" soundcloud fuck me.
One of my first girl friends (haven't had many) worked in BOY in London in the Kings Road round that time. She was soooo stunning oh gawd

Caught the edit, above. Paul Mc -- wasted on Aussie TV; such a cunny funt. Saw him with DAAS twice (and yeah, I know who Doug Anthony was -- truth be told, my best friend as a kid was DA's actual niece or something similar).

He was/is wasted on Australia; but maybe only Australia would "get" him. And he has the voice of a choirboy; unproduced live he's heartstopping. Much respect.

Rotten stood up to his name alright. He's a right prick. And that's from an outsider's PoV. Just strikes me as a nasty, eat-anyone prick who would shit on his own mother for money or fame. His "autobigotraphy" is likely proof.

(But still love his work with PIL; rocks me to my core...)

well there are books but basically he went with McLaren and had a hand up his back until the speed wore off hence the "have you ever got the feeling you've been had"

yeah but we were there to play and they were there to do the same. We all lived (stayed) in diff parts of the city. So we (Cam) decided we would go and meet these guys for a drink. 8 hours later , half of us have no money or passports, the other half have grass in their teeth. That all got resolved, I figured these guys were going to kill us if we stayed, so we flew out. We did meet them in Turkey and I did a night in a lock up. bad influences

Ah; travel stories :)

Like... when I was working in the UAE, the night the 2nd Gulf War broke out -- watching tracers fly on CSpan, praying I'd make it out on a commercial flight the next day. Fun, but being an innocent in a strange land; freaky shit.

Or; watching the twin towers blow up from a workplace in the UK, with 3 other Aussies and 198 POMs - and spending the night drinking in front of the TV swearing at eachother that WW3 had just started. Maybe we're still in it. Making phone calls to wake up family to tell them the world had possibly ended. Ah - children of the 80s, and memories of the Bomb.

Bad influences are great. Take you where you'd never been before; and were you never want to go again. Love learning :)

was there mad procreation attempts? (asking on behalf of @Miiiiike cause I know he is a student of these things.

Ya; they were Flowers. Nixxed the moniker because of a US band who was being promoted at the time - so the first "Iva Davies" album was a self-titled "Flowers"; but is now a collectible - Sony? guessing lol - nixxed the name and "Icehouse" was born.

Believe me -- sorry, but I'm an Iva obsessive. Though he may be fat and happy; he's still one of the more commercially successful, and talented musos the country has produced (excluding NZ'ers). I'll fully admit my tastes are mostly mainstream. But that's because I'm lazy.

There's some amazing talent in the periphery; they just need luck, money, head jobs, whatever. And then they become mainstream. Sad? Probably.
