We are planning for a 7 week holiday to the West Coast US for next year. Alternative is to get a "round world" ticket with stops in Europe and also NY. Has anyone one either? We are planning this to cover Nov 2015 to end Dec 2015 so we have to take unknown winter elements into account. (we live on the GC...hence..WTF IS SNOW?..kinda shit). My head is saying for that time of year to go west coat US as a lot of it won't be any diff to what we know, but.. the other part of me is saying.. FREEZE YOUR TITS OFF!! IT'S AN EXPERIENCE!! What to do?

Oh my god you will have an amazing time! I did the same thing right out of High School, but I went for 8 and a half months, I did mostly the East Coast of the USA in the Summer and Autumn, then Europe and the UK in Winter. I'm a dual citizen UK and Aus, so I based myself out of the UK that winter and did my travelling from there, also staying with family which was great. It's certainly extremely cold, but still so much fun. The snow was amazingly cool, even when it was so cold in Berlin that the liquid in your camera batteries froze up after being outside for 5 minutes so they read as flat, we had to take them out and warm them up before we took any photos. Buy yourself a good winter coat while you're over there at it will be all good!
 
Just wondering why the xray place give you a disc, of your Discs and then you know nothing until you attend a Drs appointment days away ........ Talk about the suspense of my own health ..........

One way to guarantee you don't try to diagnose yourself I guess. Remember the sealed X-ray envelopes that used to say "only to be opened by Dr". Who ever obeyed? My GP used to give you your specialist referral in an unsealed envelope to save you the effort of sneaking in.
The CDs are not all good though. Our medical centre does not have the same software used by the closest X-ray place (an hour away) so they have to go just by the report. They do have their own very basic X-ray machine but the quality is mediocre and they don't have the expertise of a radiographer.
