lol That's a bit of a mouth-ful. And pun definitely NOT intended. I'm a good lady-like priest.

Oh MY!

Good morning OT'ers!

It's a day off for me and yet here I am, wide awake at 6am!!!

Very true! I'm doing a lot better lately (in fact, I'll be going off my antidepressants next week I believe!) so hopefully things pick up and I can get a job to support my actual career ventures. I have four years work experience too (I was employed consistently from sixteen onwards), so it kinda sucks that nobody seems to be taking that into consideration, but eh, it's tough for anyone to find a job these days, it seems.

Good luck buddy.

It's good you actually want to work, unfortunately it's probably best you do just take one of those 'normal' jobs at least as a temporary stepping stone to what you actually want to do. You're always more employable when your currently working.

Also happy bday if it's today!

I like nights! Well I like a mix of days and nights. I pretty much do an equal amount of both.

Id hate to go back to a day only 8hr 5 day per week job.

I have just finished 3 weeks of 5 days a week and it nearly killed me!

The mix of nursing day/afternoon/nights sure does balance out sleep and workload

Day = great sleep/hectic workload
Arvo = okay sleep/ moderate workload
Night = shit sleep/ minimal workload

3 weeks of days was, well, hectic. But on the upside, I slept like a log come bedtime.

I'm not with the other guy because he isn't as attractive, because yes I am THAT SHALLOW.
Oh, I'm sorry that wasn't obv. :P
Let's call the other guy Cool-and-really-fun-with-lots-in-common-but-uglier-guy.
OR CARFWLICBUG.
I think nurses should get a pay cut and work longer hours :writing:
Poor nurses, they do work hard! I WANNA BE A NURSE, I just think I'd have an issue dealing with like pee and that.

I don't really have a social group per se, just a handful of friends (I'd say I consider about five people to be my actual friends, with perhaps a few on the sidelines) that are mostly unrelated to one another, which I kind of prefer because I'm not really a fan of groups or group mentality. I feel like I work better one-on-one as well, although depending on my mood I can be quite good with large groups. It all depends. I only see about two people on a weekly basis, though.

I've been unemployed for about seventeen months now I think, mostly due to my depression hitting me really hard early last year. I've been trying to find work for a couple months now though with a disability agency or whatever they're called, but it's been a bit hard unfortunately. It doesn't help that I don't really want a "normal" job anyway, but eh.
Sorry to hear this @iJake. I work for a mental health org and you may be able to seek support from a service like this in your area. It is called PHaMs (Personal Helpers and Mentors). If you want to ask me further questions please do. It can sometimes be just what someone like you needs. :)

For anyone that cares.

After thirty plus years of been the home to many LGBTQI, the Sydney City Council have finally erected a rainbow flag to celebrate the Darlinghurst areas diversity. Sadly though, my friend reports that no one stopped to watch it been erected (and that's a first for gay men) and then unfurled. Perhaps there is something more formal happening soon.
