This IS me.
Feeling like a bit of a tronk today. As it's been school hols and the whole family is home ( my husband is a teacher), I thought I would get some Monday FREEDOM after two weeks and head to the shops for a little retail therapy. FRICKLE YOU LABOUR DAY HOLIDAY!! I was one of only 4 people at the shopping centre.. all of us looking sheepishly at eachother at our clear screwup.
As such, just cracked open a bottle of chardonnay and a little bag of bbq shapes to ease the pain.

I was all over it like a fat kid on cake.
Cares done by 9.30am, wounds done by 10.30, documentation done by 11.30. Dr's faxed his med errors in prescribing, FBC's maintained, IDC's, SPC's insitu, patent and draining straw coloured urine, no IV's. No Dr's rounds because it is a public holiday. Just a great vibe!
Woot! Dream shift, and double time and a half on top! I LOVVVEEE when there is no doctors rounds too haha!

Just made the day so enjoyable.
And I know the patients now, there shouldn't be any discharges this week and if that stands, it will be a wonderful and stress free week. It is the discharge/admission that kills your time management
And I know this is awful, but a fellow nursing friend did the weekend, and she was so stressed all weekend she said she could have quit. She handed over wounds, weights, and a bunch of other stuff to the PM shift. So I really felt empowered at her not being able to complete her jobs, because I had disch/add and still managed to get my wounds/weights and so on done.
