Is the AIN tomorrow one you feel you can trust to support you? There is nothing worse than those days, I had a few, on the floor, done with the whole profession, and its usually never patient related, but team, or lack of team support relatedGlass of wine stat! forget the scat, I hope tomorrow is a better day, I hate that though, it takes so long to shake it off

mania induced or off their meds?
You know if I seriously reflect there was so much more good than bad.
I got the work of two nurses done (due to the AIN being a tard), got my discharge and admission completed, did my complex wounds, Dr's rounds, and still fit in a 10min morning tea and a 20 min lunch! I think the fact I couldn't be who the mental health patients needed me to be really upset me.
And fully blown mania is a slight exaggeration on my part. More normal behavioural issues you get with mental health "you're just trying to poison me aren't you you dirty cunt" "I fucking hate you..." that sort of stuff when trying to give cares. They can't look after him in mental health due to his recent stroke . He is 3 days overdue for his depot injection and I handed it over to PM, with the rationale of not upsetting him more which probably isn't helping. We had no stock for 3 days.

Wow that sounds awful, I can't even imagine actually dealing with anything like that even once. Seriously, so much respect for nurses! I have been dealing with them a bit lately and while, just like all people, you get the good and the bad, the good ones make such a difference and I wish they got the full respect they deserve.

Im glad on reflection you can see the good, Ohh 3 days over due :\ bad enough at the best of time, I loved doing psych, but when in general and you have a psych patient its really hard because you don't have that hat on, I find that difficult! Good on you for getting everything you need to get done done and properly too, remember its a 24/7 job and you only on for 8, pm can do that, I bet you cleaned up the mess so they came on to a clean shift anyway!
