Episode Day 21 (28/09/2014) Daily Show (Sunday)

I totally got a mean girl vibe from the whole Lisa/Skye confrontation tonight.

Sandra needs to grow up.

Sam needs to stop leading Sandra on.

Massive respect for Ryan, he's very astute.

Dion looked a bit devo when Jason said he liked Ryan (I probably imagined it though)

I'm starting to feel a little unsure about Lawson.

Just realised that SAMs sister is kara from the bachelor

yep

Sam's sister Kara, was a contestant on the current season of The Bachelor.

Something that's been bothering me about tonight's episode is the part where jason refers to Priya's story and why he thinks she is incredible... How come we haven't heard her story yet? I'd really like it if the could make these hms more personable rather than just be a character.

Lawson and Sam are becoming the good people this year - entertaining, intelligent and strategic, I just hope Sandra doesn't drag them down!!

I think Sam taking Ryan into the Rewards Room for the night, or whatever they call it this year, is strategic. He thinks he is forming a clique and has Lawson, Sandra and possibly Cat onside with him, so if he can befriend Ryan, that would give them an alliance of 5, which they could use to manipulate nominations, seeing as though they are allowed to talk about just everything this year. There dont seem to be any of the women except Priya, that would be capable of putting together an opposing team, but the other women dont seem to like her. Skye might get 1, 2, 3 then wouldnt know what to do.

Yeah there was something so strantge about the confrontation. Skye sitting down, surrounded. However we saw no damn head up to this.

Sandra, it is strange and I don't really know about the Sam thing. I actually really like Sam as a housemate and I think he's in a tough situation. He obviously really likes her as a friend and there is nothing wrong with that. The problem is, how you deal with this in the real world versus in the BB world when you don't have any space. Is it better for him to be mean to her? Keep distance?

I also wonder what is with the people in BB? Most of them seem unable to have platonic friends of the gender they're attracted to.

It's a tough one but I don't think Sam is really doing anything that wrong. The alternative is he is cold to her which isn't genuine.

I know. I don't like the whole "when he can" part either but I'm grateful that it's at least there. Especially after my constant bitching last season about no proper live streams while we at least got the hourly updates. Now the one thing I was bitching about is kaput. I just think we have to be realistic. Ch 10 said when they ditched BB that ratings were dropping and the format was tired becuse "there were few new surprises in the format, leading to reduced viewing figures". And that was 6 years ago!! Audiences as a whole are too savvy, have too many other options and are too used to whatever twist reality tv sends their way. We see through it all whereas people keep harking back to a time when this was a totally new genre and forget that it was politicians who were a big part of sanitising it in the first place. Even now all the protests about bullying with Gemma's eviction shows what the state of BB's average viewing audience is. And that's coming from someone who didn't like her eviction at all but from the media and social media fallout it's clear that the viewing audience and our culture as a whole now has changed. I don't know...I'm just tired of trashing the show because I do still find enjoyment from it. There are episodes I don't like and then others that get me right back in and wanting to watch/vote.
I don't think viewers want novelty in their Big Brother. Just give it a good cast. That is why last year worked. It wasn't that Jade and Drew were fake-married or that Jussstyyn had his agenda - it was that the cast was diverse and well-chosen and they mostly delivered.

in hosseghor in france they have a 12 feet tide, so the local surfers say "hey man the tide comes up yr fucked" same with drugs "if people take crap they get hooked" up to us to stop that crap happening. us neaning (me )

Sam and Ryan were a pair after Dion and Jason (HOH) put them together.. so I would hope Sam knew a bit about Ryan after that?
Lawson and Cat were originally a pair, and Sandra likes Cat.

there's abit of her story in her BB profile
On hardship faced as a teenager in India:
When I was 17 and in year 12, I became the sole breadwinner for the family. Then I moved away from Dehradun to New Delhi so I could do my English honours degree, and at the same time do a full time job. I called that my 'growing up years' because I grew up overnight.

On immigrating to Australia with her husband at 22:
I remember first landing in Adelaide when the airport was under construction. I looked around and said, ‘God… this doesn’t look like the movies!’ The first few years were quite tough for us. I remember walking into a supermarket and walking out because I couldn't afford eggs … Things have gotten better in the last two or three years.

I told SANDRA before going in don't let your body issues get in the way!

If seems obvious to me that they deliberately gave her that boxy monstrosity of a dress in order to mess with her head. I felt bad for her getting that when everyone else was given figure flattering outfits. The red dress looked stunning on her though. Tell her to go buy one like it when she gets home.
