Katie, yes, I think her talking about Gemma behind her back can be considered a little bit of bullying.

Lisa, no. She's just absolutely shit at giving advice. This isn't her first time at her unnecessary tough love approach, I think she did it with David before regarding Sandra.

Travis and Skye, I disagree here. It's not bullying, because Gemma was quite clearly dishing it equally, that and beforehand as well.
 
Yes, that's right. Their behaviour is really quite transparent and reprehensible, but they will try and sail by imagining that they are the 'cool' group within the group who know what's best for everyone else - that is called bullying by any other name.
 
People are too quickly to call "bully" when there is someone who is universally disliked in the house.

You need to remember, these people live together 24/7.

I would say, from tonight, Katie's actions were the closest to bullying, although I don't think it's as sinister to call it that, but thought her words were quite unnecessary to pot Gemma in public.

My impression if Katie is that she's two faced. She's been trying to manipulate the hms from behind the scenes from day one and just comes across as nasty and untrustworthy.

I think there needs to be context regarding the conversation between Gemma, Travis and Skye.

Gemma has clearly been going on about how Lisa dished her a cold one beforehand (and yes, it was unnecessary) and that she doesn't like Gemma, but imo, Travis was right in saying, you can't expect people to like you, if you're giving off snarky comments all the time (which is what happens a lot from conversation about Gemma).

Gemma then goes, "well, I don't care, because I don't like you".

(My opinion now) then FFS stop whinging about people not liking you!

I agree.

I think gossiping and talking about people behind each others back is fine, particularly in a BB environment.

But Katie clearly looks for it a bit too much, and looks enjoyable bitching about other people behind their backs.

This is what I don't like about Katie, but I thought she was quite nice about the whole "David at the dinner table" situation.
 
Shutting people down that they don't like...essentially I agree with you Tahan, HMs need to be fair and balanced (and that includes everyone).

It's hard to say, because we've heard murmurs from Gemma that people are not paying attention to her, but haven't really seen any of it.

I agree that it's not right, and that the housemates should make a greater effort in getting her involved.

But you also need to look at it from their point of view. Here is someone who has bad mouthed them behind their backs, to their face, been quite passive aggressive, there comes to a point where you go "well, I don't really need your friendship, I'm just going to ignore you".

I do sympathise with Gemma to an extent, but there needs to be acknowledgement that she has also made her own bed with constant snarky comments (we've seen a fair few of these).

Again, I agree, she doesn't help herself very much. Looking at group dynamics that might be a reaction to the rejection that she is experiencing, and that I imagine she has experienced in real life - who knows? I think she'd be an interesting HM if given a chance.
