So I think I may have jinxed myself. Had an awful donation, nearly puked, passed out and everything, luckily I still managed to pump out 440ml before I did. Came to and there were about a million nurses fussing around me, then I got waited on hand and foot for like an hour sitting in that damn chair and then had to sign a waiver so I could drive myself home. Legit thought I would pass out at the wheel and kill myself, most terrifying 20 minute drive of my life.

Yup, I'm good now, not had any more dizzy spells or anything. It wasn't scary when it happened, I have over-active adrenals and hypoglycaemia so I'm used to the feeling of fainting, but driving was scary. Got lots of apple juice and flavoured milk and chips, there's a real selection now.
It was a blood pressure drop, it dropped really steeply very suddenly so I got all hot and faint because my brain wasn't getting enough oxygen. It's never happened to me before when I donate, if anything my blood pressure is high because of all the adrenaline my heart pounds at 1000 beats per minute. No idea what caused it this time, I just hope it doesn't prevent me from giving again. Just have to relax for 6 hours and not do anything strenuous, which I am more than capable of doing.

You servers generous with your female gifs Mutz, thanks!
I'm glad you are feeling better now @Illabeth. I used to donate blood semi-regularly when they pull do blood drives at uni, but I have very low blood pressure so I'm already a liability for feeling faint so as I enter my old age I try to avoid it. I was thinking I may brave it again soon but now I'm not so sure.

@jessy_girl my blood pressure tends towards the low too, I also have terrible circulation, it's just because of my over active adrenals it rises when I'm even slightly nervous (I mean, I don't feel nervous but my body sure does) because it gets flooded with too much adrenaline. They said as you get older it actually is less likely to happen, but as women we are already more likely to faint due to our lower body mass to hight ratio. And I'm not even as skinny as I have been, I put on like 10kg last year (which made my Dr. very happy) but it is dropping again, so I wonder if that may have been it. Who knows, I'll just have to call them before I make my next appt to see if they ever want me back again.

I really should be as knowledgable as you on this @Illabeth, my doc has explained it extensively over the years but I guess I've learnt to ignore him on certain things. That actually makes sense as my BP does seem to be slightly better these days, I used to feel like I was going to pass out if I went too long without food, now it just happens sporadically.
My weight won't change, I recently weighed myself and it is still the same damn number. You'd think with the amount of crap I eat and my increasing age I'd be seeing a slow or even fast increase, but it's always the same.
This convo seems serious now... so...
