Game of Thrones *may include spoilers*

Why should I care what they've done before, when Drogo could have done me? I was such a sure thing!

In the spirit of full disclosure, my first shag ended up being my first husband. I might, just might, be all talk.

We've started watching again from S.1 Ep. 1. It's lovely to see Bran walking.
Yeah I really should do that, I was going to read the books again to pick up some clues but it was already an effort to finish the books.

You should watch them again, Soreress. I feel justified in my hatred of Catelyn again!

I take it by now there should be no spoilers cause everyone would be caught up with the last episode? I want to talk about my disgust with the whole Tyrion/Jaime/Shay episode.

@Sorceress lol Can't stand Catelyn......meddling biatch......so cold to Jon. Love my Jon Snow :)

Firstly Jamie and Tyrion didn't part with a kiss and everything is hunky dory. Jaime betrayed the brotherhood by aligning with their father and lying about Tysha. Hence Tyrion lying about poisoning Joffrey (perfect ending for that little piss ant...bravo to the Actor) to hurt Jaime as much as he hurt him. Loyalty and Betrayal.....nothing to take lightly.

Shae...she betrayed and belittled Tyrion at the trial and even more being in his fathers bed. He tried to protect her...he didn't feel an ounce of remorse whilst choking her with his Fathers The Hand necklace. He certainly didn't weep over her body.

I was so pissed when I watched that episode...ranted and raved for hours it seemed. I am annoyed that the TV Show has completed changed Tyrion's motivation and purpose. To me that episode was a big turning point for Tyrion and Jaime and yet it's been so downplayed grrrrrrrrr

I like Tyrion and find his storyline one of the more entertaining ones. I just don't see why the TV show had to deviate so much from the books. I'd like to rant some more, but if anyone hasn't read the books and only watch the show it would be a spoiler.

Wish I'd checked this forum when I watched that episode....I would have been frothing at the mouth and more than likely made more sense ahahahahhaah Forgive me lol

Yeah they really panicked I think they felt like the TV viewers wouldn't be able to handle a darkened Tyrion, but that's the whole basis of the characters in the book!
Oh and jojen was a complete surprise like what the fuuuuck!?!

Shit yeah me too ...........i was like WTF!!!!!! Oh another thing that pissed me off.....was Sansa standing there regally with her little smug smirk......like she's no longer a timid little bird.........YEAH RIIIIIITE lol Woman hear me roar :)

You should have checked when the show was on, I would not have been the only bitter book reader. I know they white washed some of Tyrion's darkness (hitting Shae) but I was actually surprised they got rid of the Tysha story line. Especially since they already laid the ground work for it in season 1. That whole scene won Dinklidge an Emmy and set the stage for one of the more complicated relationships in the books. But, nope. Tyrion is more heroic, Jaime is more villainous (sister rape) and Stannis is treated like shit from start to finish.

Sometimes I think my opinion of the show suffers because I read the books. But I think the real issue is that it suffers from me comparing it to season 1, which was so well done. Its hard to make a show better after losing Sean Bean and Mark Addy.

Is this chat about the TV show or the books? and is everyone current on the seasons? Long way to March, miss my GofT

Haha I actually liked that scene.
Sansa grew a backbone! I think we saw next book stuff with her.
Man I hated Sansa in season 1, useless.

Well at least I know i will be in good company next time...u bitter and me frothing lol I totally agree with you about the complexity of the Tysha/Tyrion/Jaime storyline and they absolutely fucked it imo. I have no idea how they are going to tie it all back in, will just have to wait and see. Oh...the sister rape.....boy did a lot of tv viewers show their outrage over that. I thought it was fine, but that's the advantage of knowing the books, it wasn't a rape at all, just a very tumultuous moment. I'm really liking Jaime's storyline, he owns his shit.

Again totally in agreeance with you about 'my opinion of the show suffers because I read the books'. I love the show and for the first few seasons I thought they stayed pretty true to the books, so it didn't worry me when some things were changed. After watching Oberyn's final scene, I was so impressed with Pedro Pascal's interpretation, I just had to reread the books. Then I really started getting annoyed big time. I wish I hadn't of reread the books tbh....but oh well....keep thinking if I reread them, Winds of Winter might magically appear in the bookshop lol True about Sean Bean and Mark Addy....tbh when i first read the books, I thought they were the main characters.....it was like WHY, WHY!!!!!! I'm so looking forward to see how the next season goes but even more to the next book.

I don't get it. But that probably means Tysha is not a part of the upcoming books. The show has eliminated speculation like that, and the Robb Stark theory. Its good that the sister rape thing didn't bother you. For me its a lot like what they did with Jon Snow in season 2. I know that he is not an incompetent fool in the books but that's what they did in the show. Any way you slice it, Jaime raped Cersei on the show, unlike the books where it was consensual. Its not like Robert in the books where it can be debated. Its going to be a long wait for that book. But it is weird that GRRM is getting offended by people speculating if he will live to finish the books. I get it, but I can see why they are worried.
