Big brother less excitement knowdays ?

I'm actually quite excited for the new season.

I've watched ever BB season and the more it went on, the more I got into it. I do think a big part of that was when I started posting on here, getting involved in this.

Last year I was out of the country for three months, getting back the day before BB started and so I was just off on a high with that, not ready to sit down and be consumed with BB. I was busy with other concerns like if I could get my girlfriend who dumped me when I was away back. Apparently when you date someone for a few months and then go to Africa for three months it isn't conducive to a lasting relationship.

However I kept watching and got suckered in by about the half way mark.

@John what do you think about the second storey? Do you think it will be real or too much graphics? Hope you stick around this season! :)
 
to put it into perspective:
The Facebook Post about the show starting this morning (5 hours ago) has 2797 likes
VS
Combined likes of all revealed housemates since Sunday (91 hours) is 2668 likes

Maybe the show is (from a stats perspective not emotional) now starting to be more about the SHOW rather than the HOUSEMATES

The reason I bring this up is because it is often spruiked that the housemates make the show ... it looks as though the show now makes the housemates??

obviously its tough for the crowd to have a greater emotional attachment to a character they have only seen 30 seconds of but it begs the question, will they release reveals of the housemates like they did this year for 2015? or will they just build the show up?

But the thing is we don't know the housemates. We got some lame promos about how arrogant a few are. So there's nothing to root for or be excited for.
 
The housemates still make Big Brother. But a social experiment requires at least two housemates. How does one socialise with oneself in a 30 second promo? ;)

I was more alluding to how they sell the show to advertisers - obviously going to advertisers saying look at our reach 10k likes in a few hours VS an advertiser looking at a housemate profile and seeing a handful of likes can have an impact on $$$ spent on advertising

(theres obviously soo much more to it)

REGARDLESS I am so friggen pumped for this season! house looks 100% and the housemates thus far have shown enough promise (in their 30 seconds)
... maybe actual footage of them would have helped us gauge the housemate better than a still

I have yet need to see what other promos there is.. But mainly the whole promos for bb on channel 9 is pretty much plain boring.. too much graphics. And its not neccery to have so much sound effects and graphics all over a promo. I would rather see the real thing course graphics isnt human.

Well the only one i wanted was the spam promos. I could always bring back the exact sound and music and video of 1991 australiam spam ham commercial into a promo sponcer.. Guess thats where it all begings my friend. Keep watching.

Which housemates ads ? i just saw a few on this wonderful site. And i believe i already posted my opinion on a few of them. You may be well suprise.. I may not be even interested. But thats because channel 9 focus far too much on people who can act. I rather choose people who are decent and normal. Act is fake.. Its not like someone has to act 24/7 all thier lifes. But then again since channel 9 choosed the housemates who act like one.. the housemates knows they are been watch so there for 90% of all the stuff your going to see may not be so what realistic or somehow you may think they are faking for been a gressive or dump or sillyness.. All your going to see is acts and role play. I rather see decent humans who dont act because act is what makes things faulty. I have a personality its not like i have to act just because people watch me.. I just seat on a white chair and read the newspaper.... This years will be more rediculoursly just like the promos. I ones thought big brother show wasnt amusements and kiddie styles with all graphics and flashing effects with storm sounds over a promo while the vicking waits them all. Seriously all this is just silly. I rather watch the real big brother show just like good days 2001. Rather then acts.. Know it seems big brother while story is also becoming an act for us... I rather see the real big brother show house. And not the acts on the housemates nor the promos... One would had scratch his head and wondered what has happen recently with the show. May i had took over it ? well i could of. But it was way better and more great when it all begain in 2001. Just not know days.. knowdays it seems more like throwing colour candy over someone..

You think. Let me tell you. Channel 9 has some how made the show much less then what it used to be back in 2001 all thru 2008 when there was
Live webcams 24/7 online big brother.
There was the uplate big brother show that lasted 2 sometimes close to 3 hours at a time.
There was the adults only bb MA ones a week on a thursday night.
There was LIVE shows big brother show during gala nights.

Know days its less feel big brother feeling then what it used to be before.. Before we had the lot. Know channel 9 has taking all that into account and make it less... instead of LIVE its know recorded live edited or delay with editing progress. But the rest isnt available. So why have big brother in the making and filmng them 24/7 when at the very same time its not even showing on cam nor on tv live ? so all they doing is wasting power and cameras filming 24/7 everything when no one is watching it. because we dont provide cams nor uplate shows. So why film them when no one is watching it.. only the camera guys are.

You be well suprise the stuff we cant see because we dont no anything... Big brother talking to them to do this or that before the cameras are starting to roll.. This is why i say why act.... Big brother show isnt what it used to be. There is more then this. Watch this space... I may be happier to see something interesting or perhaps not. Just so long its not another puppet tears show sort of to speak....

Please explain what second story are you on about with the promo? so far i just could not stand the promos ive seen this year.. the only one i saw was the vicking ship and the other actor with gurly hair holding a fake cloud with sound effects over something that isn't real at the same time. The music is interesting good days 1990s but im yet to see more then this space lot.

First reaction seeing the Big Brother 2014 house... ARE WE IN BIG BROTHER INDIA or AUSTRALIA???

And I find that the ads aren't as interesting to make you want to watch the show as previous years, now what was the word... PERSAUSIVE.

they need to give it more adult content not this watered down PG crap
To be honest i feel this will be the LAST BB au
10 needs to take it back they did a much better job of BB than nine
The other thing is its easy to pick the winner within the first week

Exactly, I predict there won't be many ratings this year and they will trash the show (hopefully) and wish ten will have it back, channel nine and there housemates paired up crap... I mean just leave it how Big Brother originally was supposed to be.
