2014 House...

Stairs to the left of the Laundry area.

Maybe they are going 'up' after all? That or it's like the entry/exit staircase they had in 2005..
 
Just to make it clearer where this floorplan snippit would have to be from (approximately).

The room shape and pool match the Garden of Eden. And that might explain the location of what I assume is a steel beam viewable in the June 2014 Nearmap flyover.

Maybe the Garden of Eden area is being lowered? Remember the 'not very official looking' deep evacuation signs?

Interesting... I dunno about it being lowered though. The end of those stairs say up?

Maybe its all an illusion and they aren't actually going to be moving anything up or down. The stairs could be just going up to put the housemates off of where they are.
 
I may be wrong but by the look of things the staircase is separate and leads to a set if sliding doors that are drawn in red...
 
if true, this looks like an intriguing season of BB. This is getting me slightly hyped, bring on a promo or someshit now!!
 
On closer inspection it seems that at the top of those stairs, to the left there is another set of them. MAYBE they are looking to do a BB05 or BBUK up the stairs style exit again? Those red doors seem to be exit doors?

The stairs thing could be similar to how HMs exit in BB Israel and BB UK, as others have mentioned:

Although it can't be exactly like that since the house is in a different location from the audience (which I prefer). Surely it's not just the little staircase they had in BB5, that would be the dumbest thing ever to hint towards with cryptic messages months beforehand. Of all the things, a staircase.
 
From all the articles about it so far I do believe the stairs will lead somewhere and not act as an entry/exit like BBAU05 as some of you have suggested. From what I understood, the house will indeed be "multi-storey".

As mentioned here, "The Big Brother Australia House on the Gold Coast is set to become more than one storey in 2014. The producers of the Channel 9 reality show are set to expand the Dreamworld set to a multi-level dwelling for the first time in the show’s 14-year history."

They're making too much of a deal about it for it not to mean anything, in my opinion.

In saying that, I actually have a feeling it might be something along the lines of the "Chill Out Room" from BBAU07 crossed with the current season of BBUK's floating "Pod" room. If this is the case, I can imagine it being a little room that can only be accessed via the stairs that either:
  • A) HM's can roam freely and can use whenever they want to get away from bigger groups of people to chat one-on-one with another HM in a more confined space, etc, or;
  • B) will act as more of a novelty room for tasks, etc (such as a Rewards Room/Presidential Suite of sorts) with luxuries inside and may be involved with this year's Twist if there is one.
That, or the bedroom will just be located upstairs.

:thumbsup: That's just my theory on it anyway.

I wish they'd tone it down and go back to basics like series 1.

People would act more naturally if they were in an actual house rather than a tv set.
 
as someone who used to draw floor plans, i can tell you the dashed lines indicate and overhead feature (like bulkhead over the laundrette area) and that the stair arrows, point from the base of the stairs to the top, and that said, i cant make much sense of the stairs, theres not enough context :\ (but the ones in the top left look like they wrap around though like this) theres definitely enough stairs there on the left to go up a storey though.
 
interesting that the laundrette is inside this time...
