Stacey had been working here for a year

‘Huw and Stacey’ - Southern Cross Austereo’s 94.3 Star FM in south east Melbourne and 97.9 Star FM in Latrobe Valley

this must be the contract she signed, and with the dream job tweet, it seems to make sense. so yes, she would be staying permanently if it's true

So here's the thing......

If we calculated the dates correctly in the first place, would Tully not be back in Sydney when Stacey goes to Sydney? All the more evidence to suggest that Tully is staying in Melbourne. The radio gig is looking more and more like it might be happening. Or some other job in Melbourne.
Wonder what will happen with Luna if that is the case?

I tried to be healthy this morning and made a green juice from broccoli and kale...it tastes like crushed up caterpillars. Even Meatloaf looks scared.

BEING single, it’s a choice.

Do you know what I hate? I hate the perception that surrounds single people by some of our society. I think too often single folk are judged by others for their choice to remain alone.

I hate it when people think that because you’re single you must be unhappy and you most definitely can’t find love.

What people in relationships struggle to understand is that quite often it is a choice to be single and single people are actually happy and believe it or not most of them are happy living that way.

You’re probably thinking it’s funny that I’m writing about being single when I’m in a happy relationship but once upon a time I was a single lady, for many years in fact.

I also have a bunch of single friends that feel the same way, so this is written on their behalf.

Before my current relationship, I was single for just over six years and I loved it. I was single, proud and I didn’t have a problem with it.

Although some people did whenever my relationship status came up in conversation. People would look down their noses at me in this sad kind of disapproving way.

I would then have to explain to them in detail about my personal choice to remain alone.

I chose to be single for many different reasons. At first I was nursing a broken heart after a long-term relationship ended. Then I chose to stay single because I wanted to travel alone.

I was single because I put my career first. I was single because I didn’t love myself, so how could I expect anyone else to love me. I was single because I chose to be single!

I was on this awesome path of self-discovery and I didn’t need a man to derail that. Yes being single can be lonely, but with that loneliness you have a lot of time to discover who you really are.

I made this choice so I could follow my dreams. I’m not saying you can’t have both, of course you can. Right now I do. I have my dream job at 92.9 FM and I’m head over heels in love with a gorgeous Mullaloo boy.

The difference between now and then is two years ago I didn’t want both. I was happy to walk alone. I was happy to be a lone ranger and people weren’t OK with that.

Why in our society do we expect others to be in relationships? And if there not, why do we assume they’re unhappy?

One of my good mates has been single for the last two years and he is living it up as a bachelor. He has the girls lining up, and they all want a piece of him.

He could have a different girl to date each night for a month if he really wanted but he chooses to be single. He doesn’t want to be in a committed relationship because he is enjoying his time as a single man.

He’s not unhappy or lonely, he just wants to be alone. He gets asked constantly why he doesn’t have a girlfriend or why can’t he find love? For him the answer is simple, he wants to be single. It’s his choice and if he’s OK with that, why can’t you be?

If you have a single mate or know someone who is happy walking alone, cut them some slack. Most of the time it’s their choice to remain single, so stop pitying them!
