Big Brother 2014: Pest controllers enter house over 'rat' issue

Pest controllers entered the Big Brother house last week, it’s been revealed.

But before anyone jokes about them removing any of the housemates, they were there to tackle giant rants.

We told previously that a huge rat infestation was being monitored by Hertsmere Borough Council, near the show’s house and studios in Elstree & Borehamwood, North London.

Producers feared last month that that the animals could cause problems by gnawing through wires in dark the cameras runs and could even eventually get into the house itself.

An insider claimed: “They’re growing in size and the number every day. Some of them are the size of cats.”

And last week the rats finally made it into the house, forcing the housemates to be locked away as pest controllers went in.

Evicted housemate Matthew Davies revealed: “Poor Danielle was asleep but she woke in the night and as her bed faces the window, she happened to look out and saw one [a rat] and screamed. Everyone panicked.

“Big Brother locked us in the bedroom and we couldn’t get out – they even turned our lights off. They got someone in and the rat was evicted quite quickly.

“In the outside world, if I had seen a rat anywhere near me I would have got on a plane.”

Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, Matthew joked: “I’d rather live with rats than Helen.

“In fact, when Danielle saw the rat, Helen tried to go outside.

“She probably needed a friend. She doesn’t have any in the house.”

...yeah it seems like they are really 'into' each other doesn't it?... wow!... Kimberly really is desperate to maintain the 'find-a-dickwad-and-start-a-romance-to-keep-yourself-in-the-house' ploy eh?... for those who don't know what psycho fish and I are talking about here it is... eeeeeeergh!... :vomit: cheers.

:wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf::vomit::vomit::vomit::vomit::vomit::vomit::vomit::vomit::vomit::vomit::vomit::vomit::vomit::vomit::vomit::vomit:
eeeeeuuuwww eeeeeeuuuuwww eeeeeuuuuwwww

.
Will what Steven's mother said derail this budding romance ?

...not while she 'opens it' that's for sure... imagine his bragging rights with his mates when he leaves the house on the fact that he got to stir the honey pot and (possibly) shag an American Playboy Bunny?... he will be considered a legend by them for the rest of his life!... he isn't going to back down for sure unless Kimbers pulls the pin on it... he's in it for the long ride as far as I'm concerned...

...I really do hope that 'Steviepoos' leaves soon... wtf :wtf: does he bring to the house?... absolutely nothing!:vomit:... cheers.

I'm so angry at the UK public!!!! I am completely shocked!! They boo matthew for sticking up against Helen???!! The UK have no idea. They shouting "get ashleigh out" angered me even more because she comes out of her shell and is sick of being beaten down. I say Get the UK out! They are the most fickle people ever. I'm just so angry.

There's not really a need to insult / generalise people from the UK because a BB eviction has pissed you off. And you should know, the vast majority of viewers here in the UK are shocked / angered by the result, a look at various forums and Twitter on Friday night showed that instantly. It was a bizarre result, I can only assume that some people got complacent and just assumed Ash was gone without voting enough.

I have to say, if Ashleigh leaves next, straight after Toya and Matthew, I may have a psychotic breakdown.

...Marlon does nothing whatsoever... somebody needs to slap his face until it brings him into the same world as we are all in... I say evict him... he is so bloody boring!... cheers.

Is this for real, or is BB playing games with the HMs?
I was hoping BB would put a rat in the house, 'cause Steven has a big rat phobia. I want to see him scream like a girl, poo his pants, and run away.

Armageddon week begins next week. There is already advertising for a big week spanning across 4 days. Speculation is that there will be a couple mid week evictions and 2 new housemates will enter, Jenny Thompson, the other member of the Wayne Rooney cheating scandal with Helen. Apparently they absolutely hate each other(Helen and Jenny). The other intruder will be Kim's boyfriend hahahaha.

This is pure speculation at this point though so probably unlikely to actually happen. Fireworks would go off inside the house if that did occur though.

This is such a weird series. There is usually the 'cool kids' who ostracise and sometimes bully anyone who is not in their group. Then the outsiders find friendship and support with each other (which is lovely to watch) and it becomes a good old fashioned battle of good against evil. That's a generalisation, but it's more or less a common storyline.

This series the outsiders only seem to form a bond within pairs, not as a group, and are even in-fighting amongst themselves, which weakens their position against the dominant group. It's nice to see a BBUK go off script, but it is disappointing that there's not more unity outside the 'cool' group.

...as much as I love her I think that Jale has let the 'outcasts' down I'm afraid... because she has drifted towards and got sucked in towards the 'cool' group's wicked web and has chosen to remain there... while not an actual member of the 'cool' group she has chosen to remain in that area to look after her own needs for a while unfortunately... she has probably tired of propping up the weaker members of the house and just wants to float on her own for a while to just veg out.. in doing so she has alienated herself to the others and has had a major loss of standing from the viewers as a result of it...

...as I said... I love Jale but she needs to stand up to the 'cool' group again and re-organise the weaker members of the house... everyone loves a champion for the underdogs and she was a good one for a little time but let that slide by... the longer that she stays where she is the quicker she will be out of the house...:mad::mad:SNAP OUT OF IT JALE!!!!!:rage::rage::rage: ... anyway... that's my take on it... cheers.:)

This weeks nominees are Jale, Chris, Ashleigh, and Christopher. Marlon was saved in an eviction twist. I think Ashleigh is certain to go now that Marlon has been saved :(

so seems steven had a girlfriend too https://twitter.com/BigBrotherXtra/status/486484237345116160
and he was having an affair with a married woman http://bigbrotherxtra.co.uk/news/?p=2128
What a prize he is!!!

I don't know what was worse in that video: Steven's (very long) story or his too tight shirt.
And why on earth was he being interviewed on TV about his love life?

Not sure about the girlfriend bit. She refers to him as the guy she's been seeing. Which sounds pretty casual to me. But it still makes a murky situation even muddier.

Big Brother: Why are Channel 5 covering up Helen Wood's 'racist' behaviour in Ashleigh argument?

Read more: http://www.femalefirst.co.uk/tv/rea...y-defend-helen-wood-499519.html#ixzz36tWeKwB0

seems she has been reprimanded more than 15 times..why is she still in there?

It totally depends on the context as to whether that was racist, and I couldn't watch the clip so I can't chime in.
But I don't think hanging shit on someone's accent is necessarily a big deal, there are so many accents in that house that mr nutmeg and I have been doing HM impersonations for weeks. Though I don't like accent mimicking when someone is trying to imply something negative about everyone who has that accent, which I actually doubt Helen was doing. But who knows, that girl could say anything.
