I think it's pretty hard to say whether he's made an effort or not. Drew isn't a big SM user and prefers to go about his life away from it mostly, unlike Tully who feels the need to share every second of her life. I can see how that might give the impression that Tully's made more of an effort simply because she puts everything out there...but we have no idea what they've talked about privately or who's initiated it.

Also like @smurfette already pointed out, there's no reason to think Tully has gone to Melbourne for Drew. Actually due to the fact her first night there she was out with Ed and Nick instead of Drew, and also that Drew might be leaving again indicates she's not there for him. She doesn't seem to have much going on work wise in Sydney so she might be down there because she has something going on or wants to spend time there looking around for some potential work.
 
For me it's just wondering why they can't act more like friends publicly at this stage, like as much as she and his friends do, if that's what they are. And if they're not really, I think that's too bad. I also have a bit of a "too cool for school" impression of him lately, but I admit that could be a total misinterpretation. In a way, though, that's the risk of accepting having fans or whatever without giving very much in return. It's sort of like meeting someone who's really attractive and smart but very quiet, and not being able to tell if they're just guarded/shy or think they're above it all. He makes himself hard to read--which is absolutely his prerogative and I don't blame him--but when that's the case people are going to read you how they read you. And now I've officially given this too much thought.

Well I don't know that for sure. I'm just saying given the info I think it's more likely that she hasn't just dropped everything to move down there to be with Drew. I mean she probably will spend time with him, but given her company last night I certainly don't think he was the main reason for the trip.

Also don't forget that Tully seems more at peace in Melbourne in general. I don't think that's just because she was getting some Drew lovin' either. In fact I don't think it's just Melbourne but she seems to be in a better place away from Sydney and now that Tahlia is away so the ridiculous doggy custody agreement is void she has the opportunity to spend time in places she's happier.

Drew's social media activity is actually extremely similar to my soon to be hubby's. When he posts it will be vague song lyrics or an extremely philosophical quote, and I've actually had a lot of people ask me if he and I were okay or if our daughter was okay because they thought his updates were implying that something had happened. When in reality he's just one of those people who are thinking all the time about life in general and sometimes he comes across as cool or aloof or even pretentious. I see a lot of the same things in Drew at times with his SM activity.

I know it's not really the same because Drew has fans and i understand a lot would feel he's giving them a "I'm too cool for you" vibe...but I just thought I'd use that example to show that often when people portray that "I'm too cool" vibe it doesn't always mean that's what they're feeling inside.
 
Tully got pretty close to Drew's friends, so it'll be interesting to see if she spends time with them while in Melbourne. If she does and there is no sign of Drew, then that would be confirmation that things did not end well between the two of them.
 
I guess the info we go last night of Tully's night out on the town with Ed and Nick within a day of being in Melbourne, and then Drew's tweet about going back to LA sooner than planned, seems that Tully didn't go down to Melbourne to be with Drew.
Does Tully have work lined up in Melbourne, or is she just making the most of it while Tahia is overseas and not having to sharing Luna.

Maybe Drew got the travel bug while in USA, and now he has his chemical engineering degree decided he wants to travel a bit before looking for some serious work and serious relationship?

I wonder are Drew and Tully still close friend or just friends, or taking a clean break from each other. I guess we will find out if there are photos of Drew and his friends. Tully may have done some soul searching while in Bali, and decided she wants clean break to give them a chance to date others?

We don't know yet if Drew is going back to LA soon while Tully's in Melbourne, or after she's back in Sydney.
Justin may have pursued Drew to go back and spend time with him before he comes back in month or so,or he might be going over there for work.

I agree with this. I am only basing my response on how I view what he puts out there on SM. Nothing more, nothing less. I get a blank page when I try to read him so no longer follow him on SM.

i don't ship Drully anymore, i am just suss after their on/off history that everybody can't deny we were seeing on their SM. Tully was stll recently communicating with Drew through comments left on Justin's Insty snaps of their US trip

Haha - no, that wasn't aimed at anyone specific. It was at the broader fan base who's comments are all over SM. It's the same with those JadEd fans who, 6 months after they broke up and despite Jade saying so in interviews on both radio and online, still whip themselves into a frenzy in SM comments (mainly instagram and FB).

(and it leaves hope for Teddy)
