You still never explained your reasoning. I'm genuinely interested to know why... Totally not a fan or anything :p

I can't remember, I was drunk! hahaha*

you always say your drunk, so what's your excuse?

I'm an alcoholic?? hahahAHAHAHA

No but seriously, I sometimes use "psychic powers" or my "feelings" as an excuse. Depends on my mood. The odd occasion I might even just say something as fact- even though it might not be. Crazy, I know.

*It was probably something Tahan posted on SM which correlated with something in the thread that made it appear a little too coincidental if you know what I mean.

Australia, the World Cup’s Unluckiest Country
By GREGOR AISCH and DAVID LEONHARDT
June 5, 2014

Among the thousands of draws that Australia could have received, its actual first-round grouping is the worst one possible.

The Socceroos, as Australia’s soccer team is known, find themselves in a group with both of the finalists from the 2010 tournament, Spain and the Netherlands. If that weren’t bad enough, the final team in the group is Chile, the 13th-best team in the world, according to the FIFA rankings — which means Chile is now two places ahead of the Netherlands.

In concrete terms, Australia will need to beat out two of the world’s 15 highest-ranked teams in order to advance. Nigeria, by comparison, needs merely to beat out either the 25th-ranked team (Bosnia and Herzegovina) or the 37th-ranked one (Iran).

Eight years ago, Australia pulled off a major surprise by advancing to the Round of 16 — and then held Italy, the eventual winners, scoreless until the match’s final minutes. Four years ago, Australia came within a tiebreaker of advancing to the Round of 16. This year, beccause of the cruelty of chance, Australia will need something close to a miracle to do so well.
