and totally off topic but Love Child has been renewed for a 2nd season after only debutting 2 weeks ago :)

I'm not sure that's a good idea. I read an interview where the creator said they only made like 8 episodes for a reason. They knew they couldn't drag it on and try to create new stories just for the sake of it as it would mess with the integrity of the original premise. Sad to see they went against their principles for cash.

I thought maybe they meant the series was only 8 weeks long rather than total production ... some shows have around 20 episodes in a series/season
 
Tim tweeted a week or so ago that he'd got a new place in Bondi ... lucky to find a puppy-friendly rental these days :)

No they only did 8 episodes. Which makes sense because how long could you drag out the same story or even worse rehash it again with a new victim.

sorry - what I was getting at is they film in series blocks for the year/season - and I thought she meant that for the integrity of the storyline for this series only 8 episodes were needed - why drag it out in 12 or more episodes and dilute it?
