Very good point! She has things going for her already and is of interest to many. The twitter world is one aspect of tahans social reach, but it is not the absolute. Those who have met her have praised her commented about her in positive manner. She is professional when it calls for it and she can still be herself and hold the charm that made her adored by so many. She has never shied away from her honesty, even when she does make it a difficulty to defend for her fans. Either way this is tahan. She doesn't care and has no need to.

Thanks Poona - I knew about Blair and Hotdogs in the past, and I'd heard soemthing about Chrissie (also Wes with the kids show)... but didn't know of most of the others you cited. It doesn't really amount to all that many, IMO.

I've reached a conclusion. Yes, tahan does do questionable things, but it's tahan through and through. You take the good and the bad. I can say that I'm aware of my favourite hm having faults, but I can still support them too, because I see the qualities others don't necessarily see that make them likeable to me.
But I do think some people have such a strong dislike to a hm (and that's fine), that they can't see past it and see that there is nothing malicious or devious in their ploy or actions.

I didn't know all of this myself, but that's a pretty good achievement I think, considering it's a bb hm transitioning from this audience to another. Quite a few radio careers happening too. I won't lie though, I do wonder how some got into it with their voices. I'm not naming names though, because it is a personal taste thing. But good on all the hm's.

I agree with the original point you were casually trying to make, Sapphire... BB can be a good spring board for some of the housemates once the show is over. The names that have been raised here by yourself and Poona have done exceptionally well and have really used the BB experience to their advantage.
Blair, in particular, was super popular on Neighbours...then went on to work on a UK show called Heartbeat. He was also on Sea Patrol and Winners and Losers, Dancing with the Stars amongst other appearances. I think he even won a Logie?
Chrissie Swan has just finished on Can of Worms and was nominated as Most Popular TV presenter at the Logie's 2 years running for her role on The Circle. I think she was also nominated for something this year as well.
I also think Ben Norris has what it takes to follow his dream of success. He'd be fantastic on The Project, The Circle or any of those morning shows. His interviews are excellent and he is so quick witted and entertaining.
Regarding your points about being bullied on here... Take my word for it, use the IGNORE function and you will have a very peaceful time. I admire your guts in sticking up for yourself but you should have no reason to do so...

My mistake was leaving, and if I feel like posting in this Forum every day or once a month, well that's got nothing to do with you. I don't answer to anyone here except Tim and the Moderators.

Because it takes a lot of strength to allow a bunch of Forum Bullies to have the last nasty say, and as much as I wanted to go back to that Thread which had the disgusting title concerning a Housemate, I saw that you and [MENTION=34758]Mooseface[/MENTION] joined in to an argument that had nothing to do with you, but you involved yourself because you wanted to support your buddy. (That attacked me for no reason) Another one called Meow started on me and to stick up for her bully mate. <snip>
And by the way, I was having a great night conversing with other Forum Members about Drew and Tully, when 2 Forum Members attacked me out of the blue for no reason. I spent 3 months watching some nasty things being said about Drew and Tully and I felt sick for all the Housemates families. I also felt like that about other Housemates copping crap. My anger comes from watching others gang up on other people for no reason, and that doesn't matter where it is. Whether it's on a forum, a school or workplace.
Approximately 2 months ago a Forum Member here sent me a private message saying, "Don't forget to send a private message to [MENTION=1267]torifrog[/MENTION], because it's her Birthday tomorrow, and she gets really pissed off if people forget to wish her Happy Birthday." WHAT? I really hate it when people get afraid of others, but you don't intimidate me in the slightest. It's a pity when you get a Forum or a workplace which has had some members/employees working there for 10 plus years, and a new one comes in a lot younger. They like to make the new ones feel they need to gain the approval of the older ones. I don't answer to anyone except those who are in charge. <snip>

I had to go searching for whatever thread you were referring to. Well, I found it. It's odd, because I wasn't involved in the insult-flinging at all. In fact I only made ONE comment in the 7 page thread; that comment was regarding the thread as a whole, and posted two days (and 2 pages) AFTER you'd said you were leaving till next year. This is what that comment was:
How that can be taken as an attack on anyone, let alone you, is beyond me.
Regarding the PM from [MENTION=2153]Kaz[/MENTION] you got... yes it was my birthday, but the "angry" thing was a JOKE. Kaz knows me in real life and has done for about 9 years, and in fact we went out for lunch together to celebrate my birthday. She knows all too well I am very hard to anger - I am a very placid person generally. I'll let her know you tend to take things literally.

Most people who have any kind of relationship with me, whether online or off, know I try etremely hard NOT to attack people, because life's too short, and my life is particularly difficult as is, so I don't need to add to my woes. I'd be astounded if you could find more than a handful of posts on here where I have a go at anyone. I tend to be analytical and blunt, but I don't set out to hurt people generally.
As you have every right to post, so do I. Just because you have misinterpreted something I wrote in the past, you have now let your own biased opinion on me affect anything further I write. You're of course entitled to do that, but I am also entitled to engage in discourse as much or as little as I choose. I don't post a lot because I'm usually busy reading. thinking, analysing etc ... but when I DO post, it's always straightforward. No hidden agendas. You may have seen I thanked [MENTION=770]Poona[/MENTION] for her reply to my question; I feel less inclined to thank you after your attempts to paint me in a light that is unfounded.

It does paint sapphire in a bad light and that could not be further from the truth. Some posters are more sensitive than others, and for sapphire, that was breaking point and they lashed out. They would be the first to tell you that it was an over reaction, but it happens. I don't want sapphire to feel inaquate now and leave because they feel posters will view them in a certain way. It was a moment of pent up frustrations of continued mockery that went out of hand.
It's best to use the ignore function sometimes.
