So Ed is a jerk in real ife...

He hasn’t done anything wrong. Jade is happy, she was not deluded like some viewers. She basically said all along that she knew he didn’t want anything serious, but was pretending to be happy with that to his face in the hope that he would eventually change his mind. In the BB house it's probably hard for both of them to know what they really feel / want. Ed is probably more aware of that while Jade was living in fantasy. Jade could say she loved him after only 2 weeks of 'dating', because she had been seeing white picket fences since the moment he looked at her.

if he wasn't interested he shouldn't have made out with her and slept in the same bed after Friday drinking sessions (especially knowing how very interested in him she was) and then when all of his soldiers were gone he turned the relationship with Jade up a couple notches to remain somewhat relevant in the house

She is 24. She is responsible for her choice. She chose to keep him close by pretending to want fun only (kissing him no strings attached). She wanted more but hid that from him.

It was behind his back that she started obsessing about him. Talking to the girls. Cried when he kissed Jazz. Complained he only kissed her when drunk -think Tully said to tell him (but Jade ignored the advice). She got unreasonably upset that he wasn't treating her like his girlfriend cos they agreed to having fun only. She said nothing to him because she didn't want to scare him off; she still wanted to make out with him and hoped he would eventually change. Probably viewers blamed him for leading her on when he didn't, because they didn't realize or forgot that they mutually agreed it would be some fun only.

Did they get closer after his friends had all left? Jade was quite perceptive and honest with herself a lot of the time. Including being able to admit to others and BB that she was keeping Ed close by pretending to be happy with nothing serious. So I think that she is aware of when he allowed himself to get closer to her. If it was because his friends were gone she would have picked up on that. Remember how Jade said Drew will probably come crawling back after Tully left.

But don't kid yourself that she would have had it any other way. She wanted Ed to get closer to her, no matter the cost. If it meant eliminating his friends, she would have done it herself. She chased him for maybe 2 months while he showed no interest in anything but some fun but she wanted more; why would she suddenly act differently when she finally got him a bit closer?

I've just watched the last second eppisode. Jade recalled her first kiss with Ed at the purple bed room. Ed had asked Jade to sleep on his bed first & they kissed after that. BB cut out Ed's request to portrait a desparate Jade's image. Wonder how much did they cut out? Ed said s/t like he's sad b/c BB betrayed them with the edits

just because at the moment ed cannot commit to jade when jade does does not make him a jerk

it means he's being realisitic

it's like when you're in high school and are bonded by circumstance and then suddenly you go to uni - it's stupid to think things will stay the same

she's the idiot for investing wayyyy too much into him despite all the facts

just because she doesn't have much of a life to go back to doesn't mean ed should sacrifice things and the lifestyle he's worked hard for

it seems jade doesn't have much to give up but ed does

Jesus, where do people get all this b/s. From Tim? He is probably the biggest embellisher of them all. I wouldn't believe Tim too much. I don't understand the hate some people have for Ed.... Ok so he wasn't your ideal Hm .. Ok! But the hate some people have, not only for Ed but others is just disgraceful. Tim never liked Ed so of course he would say unfavourable things about him. Tim was my fav at beginning, but I think he really has conned everyone. Listen to his post bb interviews. Prostituting himself for a media career or anything for that matter. Very self righteous...

if he was a decent person he would have told her day one he didn't want a relationship with her and left it there
he doesn't have a lifestyle, he's a washed up footy player who lives in a flat with 3 other people and takes courses at uni

I wasn't the biggest Ed fan, but this level of nastiness makes me hate the internet sometimes.

I agree, very well said, it would be nice now to see Tim move on, he won, good on him, I don't see the need for his current actions, other than for selfish reasons. Being the winner should open doors for him, I don't see the need for him to still be "playing" with everyone including bad mouthing his fellow HMs, bad sportsmanship really.

I read a thread where [MENTION=31245]janedoe[/MENTION] (?) I think suggested Tim still wanted to control the narrative, which I think appears to be true. The one thing that puzzles me is that I think Tim likes Jade, so I'm surprised that he doesn't consider the hurt or embarrassment his comments could cause her.

Yes I too have made comment about his "infatuation" with jade, possibly in another thread also, something a long the lines of his infatuation with jade is similar to the infatuation he saw jade had with Ed, and funnily he himself didn't think that too healthy, seems a case of do as I say not as I do, hehe. Shame really, if he was planning any kind of friendship with jade you would think that constantly bagging Ed and her could seemingly being doing quite a lot of damage. I know I wouldn't be happy if I were jade and infact found out that all this stuff was actually being said by Tim, trouble is can we believe everything that's written, and half the stuff he has been saying on radio might just be Tim being Tim, jade may easily forgive him for this, she is that kind of girl it would seem.
 
I don't think you can truly honestly know someone really in the BB house. Jade could be a bitch, Tahan a saint, Mikkayla quiet, Tully un dramatic

Jade's not nearly as dumb as some people think. She clearly adores both Ed and Tim but she also made it obvious that she knew that they would never get along. She was pretty much stuck in the middle of them and their fights for the entire series and she sat there while they both mouthed off to her about the other. After that I don't think anything she hears from either of them now in the media would shock or hurt her too much. She knows how it is.
