Why is it that intruders can not win?

Is it the publics reaction that they have not been there from the start so don't deserve to win?
 
They need to build a loyal fan base which takes time... That's the most important thing to winning Big Brother!!!
 
Zack nearly did the year Aliesha did. I spent quite a bit of money on him that finale night but alas it wasn't to be. I still think he was the best housemate for the entire run of BBAU

I personally don't think they deserve it but I don't know if everyone feels that way

Yes, that's why I wouldn't have wanted an intruder to win. They haven't been there for as long which means they haven't had enough time to 'earn' it. Also we haven't had enough time to get to know them as well as the others, which means it's easier for them to hide their less desirable traits.

Absolutely and I think that's very sad. The intruders themselves know it, which makes the whole intruder thing even a bigger farce.

If an intruder won one fine day in the future, it would change the perspective of future HMs as well. As it is, the HMs know that no intruder really poses a threat which means they don't have to involve them or get involved with them.

But this is really utopia because the public who supposedly in the end decide wouldn't have it... sacrilege - the law says No intruder may win!

I loved Zack - was so wanting him to win. He came so, so close.
 
They come in too late. Maybe if they came in say 2-3 weeks after they'd have a better shot. They tend to put in pretty boring intruders most of the time too, or to purely cause conflict. The only intruder I liked was Zach. But I loved Aleisha, so I was happy for her to take it out.
