For those doubting Ed's feelings for Jade...

If you watched the evictions, Ed has been waiting for Jade on the outside when/if she leaves.

If he really didn't have feelings for her he wouldn't have come.

I call double standards because Tully was also there waiting for Drew.

If her feelings for Drew are real then how come Ed is "being fake"?

Ed was also being friendly to Jade's Dad and being a gentlemen, seeking her father's approval for dating his daughter.

I think it's time now for the people doubting his feelings to apologise on this forum after all the bashing he has received.
 
Ed certainly wasn't my favourite housemate, AND I couldn't care less whether now he has realised she could be a good thing or not.
 
Ed is there because the show producers told him to be here.

I'm not saying it's the only reason.. But the OP point isn't valid
 
Ed is massively concerned with how people think of him. He's doing it to try and pretend he isn't a douche bag.

He'll make a pretense and then hope on it 'not working out' due to them living in different states.
 
He does care about her and I feel he is partially there because of that. The other reason is of course the producers would have told him to be there.
Also he is a polite guy so Im sure thats another reason, being respectful to Jade by showing support.
Not saying he wants to be with her, rather just he is being supportive like a friend would.

I think its pretty sad that people still don't think he has feelings for her. He doesn't love her and he probably wont marry her but he definitely does like her. She's not ugly or retarded, theres nothing wrong with Jade and there were no dramas between them. Any guy would be lucky to have a babe like her tell them she loves them.

I wouldn't be surprised if he does like her BUT ... I'm sure if she wins $250,000 he wont be leaving her anytime soon...

So because she has 'nothing wrong with her' physically he has to like her? Did you not watch how she perused him? It was embarrassing to watch and he pushed away up until Tim took her into the presidential suite. I don't think he's interested

I think he wasn't interested BUT is now that he's out of the house and is watching her.

Physically and mentally. She's actually a nice girl and the way she pursued him was a bit intense but was probably because she was bored and needed something to do.
In the real life I doubt any girl is stupid enough to go after a guy like that.
 
I don't think Ed DISlikes Jade at all, but I don't think he's interested in her romantically. His body language said it all.

I think now he's just trying to save face. He's very image/reputation conscious. He knows by now he came across as a tool who was using Jade ... he wants to correct that.

This will not be a long term relationship.

Oh and the Tully/Drew thing, they clearly did have feelings for each other, feelings they tried to hide given Tullys situation on the outside.

Again body language says it all, those two adored each other and got along like a house on fire.

Jade/Ed was just awkward and cringeworthy to watch. There was nothing natural about it.
 
You do realise these housemates are still under contact?

But even without being told to be there Ed would still go for his image. I think he considers himself a bit of a ladies man (perhaps more than a bit) he has to keep up appearances to save his reputation.

I even think, with or without feelings, there will be a lot of photos of those two together in the coming months. They will be a 'couple' how genuine it is we will never know i guess that depends on how soon we see him with another girl on his arm :)

I think Ed thinks his feelings for Jade are real....

I also think he has a case of Stockholm Syndrome, where he has been smothered and latched onto by Jade for so long that he is starting to convince himself he's fallen for her, when I'm still not convinced...

Agree. He wants a presenter job in media and he needs to spin some positive PR about himself after all the flack he has received - particularly since he's left the house.

He needs to take advantage of this short-lived spotlight NOW before the light goes out.
