BBUK has been much stronger since Emma took over from Brian. I prefer Emma's hosting style. I agree that Sonia seems like the BB producer's mouthpiece saying just what they expect but not showing enough personality. Gretel did it very well for a long time, but then I felt she overstepped the mark and was pushing too much of herself into the show.

He cared for people's perception because of the prize money, that's why he held back his full personality on the show to give himself the best chance of attracting infatuated horny teen girls to vote for him. Now that's the out of the question, I really don't think he gives two flying figs what randoms think. And if he does care than he is a bigger fool than the haters say he is.

Regardless of anything else, Ed saying he can't promise her a week means he has zero intention of having a real relationship with her outside the house.
Even if he felt like it would not work, just as a friend who spent ninety days with her, giving her a week is not asking for much. Yet he could not do it. This should be setting off air raid sirens in her head but it is not.
Really? He can not commit to waiting a week? This is Ed's problem and why he is no Prince Charming. He thinks he is being a good guy by not promising him something he might not be able to do. However it is not nice, it is cruel. Promise her the week and try to freaking live up to it. That would be the right thing to do.

He probably just doesn't want or isn't ready for a commitment (nothing wrong with that)
I think Jade knows it's not going anywhere but can't get it through her head that it's just because he doesn't want a steady girlfriend so has been making excuses for him. For example the distance thing, she kept trying to talk about it saying she would relocate. She's been trying to prove herself worthy of him and not getting it through her head that it's not about her at all.

There could be several gossip magazines that offer Ed and Jade money for an exclusive story on their romance since so many people are interested in what will happen next. If Channel Nine or Dreamworld are affiliated with any magazines (aka if a gossip magazine is a sponsor of the show) I can see Ed and Jade going on a few dates and taking advantage of the photo ops. This would be best case scenario and even then, I give it three months, tops.

Apparently the girl he apologized to who was sitting next to his brother is his housemate, I thought it was his sister but only saw the back of her :S
So now we have all these possible reasons he apologized, one being that he had a relationship with her...
I'd say friends with benefits at best and would confirm my opinion of him and jade which is that he saw it as more a friends with benefits situation

This is the post from Annie (Ed's flatmate) on the Lower blog that started the rumors. (Sounds platonic to me).
Hi there...I am Annie - Ed's housemate and I also double as one of Ed's ex girlfriends! We had a extremely serious relationship back in year 8 (I was in year 9...yeh cougar I know!). Ed and I dated for a good few weeks until he acidently locked lips with another young babe. For all I knew it was the end of the world!
In more recent times I have had the pleasure of living with this so called "Prince Charming" (fair stretch from the truth....not really, its actually spot on!) for two years. It has been quite funny/awkward/weird watching Ed navigate his way around our TV. I can see he's built a relationship with eveyone in the house, particularly Jade (no hard feelings!), and despite her attempts to develop their relationship into something more, it's clear that Ed is happy with how things are! However, it will be interesting to watch what happens now that BB has put two new female intruders in the house - they have both hinted that they are a little fond of Ed and of course BB is going to try and build a story around a love triangle between Ed, Jade and Maddy. Why wouldn't they?
Jealousy is not an attractive trait so I can't wait to see how this week unfolds!
