Has Jade been treated unfairly by Big brother?

I love it when the argument wears out, people always throw in the "it's a tv show" "build a bridge" "it's meant to be entertaining", yes it's a tv show and these forums are for us to discuss our opinions based on a tv show, one that orinally was supposed to be a social experiment, wether she "eats food" or not has nothing to do with the point I was attempting to put across, and yes she is making herself look like an idiot with her "doting" over Ed, but I still think she has had it tougher than most as far as the show goes since the weekend!

But it is a TV show, and that is exactly how I see it. I want to watch people being entertaining. I want to see them, happy, sad, angry, argumentative. Because that is what I call entertainment and why I've watched BB from the start.

When the House Mates forget that they are there because they signed on to entertain the Australian public, that is a sad day for BB, because that is the path toward the show being cancelled.

And that, is my opinion. :)

Everyone has their good and bad edits - but the past few weeks in particular Jade has been shown in an overwhelmingly bad light.

LF's, GoE date, Daily wash etc. over the last few weeks were all designed/written to humiliate Jade and make fun of her feelings for Ed. Making Ed choose between her and the sacrificed items, splitting them up so they can't sleep together etc. If you can't see it your blind or probably a Jade hater in the first instance. Usually BB gets the balance right (highlighting both the postive and negative traits of housemates) but this balance has gone out the door.

That only happened last night, and you can't know for sure that was about Jade. What'd the big deal with the separate beds anyways?

I think that BB thought it would be funny to separate Ed and Jade, and I have to agree. Jades face was PRICELESS. :)
 
Yes, absolutely.

BB treats her absolutely terribly. I'm not even talking about the constant unfair editing which I could talk about forever.

But more the fact that the producers are obviously going out of their way to humiliate her. People can cry all they like that she's brought it on herself by liking Ed so much, but that doesn't change the fact a lot of it comes from their constant need to mock her.

Forget about all the crap like the date with Ed in the GoE specifically designed to humiliate her or whatever, but you only have to look at the LF update yesterday where Ed had to choose between their stuff and Jade being allowed to sleep in the purple bedroom to know that it's true. It's disgusting. It really is. Why the hell should BB give Ed the choice to pick where she sleeps?

She's a nice girl who's been a great HM for them in terms of storyline. She obviously wears her heart on her sleeve and they're taking advantage of that and making fun of her for entertainment. She doesn't deserve that. She's going to be in enough pain when she leaves and find out what Ed was saying behind her back as it is, it's going to be even harder when she sees that the show was taking advantage of her feelings for laughs.

But how can you be sure it's unfair editing? Can you provide some examples please? Just two or three cos I just don't see it. BB has no choice but to play the most entertaining parts of the day.

Your right we can't know for sure - but the only people the bed situation was going to effect was Ed and Jade.

Pretty sure the 'choose between Jade or the items' is purely about messing with Jade's emotions. And sorry where did I make a big deal out of the bed situation? Just pointing out it is among a number of things that i think BB are trying to upset Jade with.

If your referring to the first date that is weeks ago, I am talking about only since Friday, and if you are referring to the last one, they didn't get to put one morsel of food in their mouths before Bb made them freeze and sent Tim and Tahan in, who IMO were acting disgustingly, trying to humiliate jade and Ed, stuffing their faces as fast as they go, and Tim had already had the executive fridge after spitting his dummy and getting all the others punished, so IMO it,has not evened out especially this weekend!

You can't just isolate a few days and say someone has hard it hard. Clearly that's complete nonsense.
Tim never had been into the Garden of Eden.

Humiliate? Really. Ed & Jade would have done the same if the roles were reversed. Well Ed would have scoffed, and Jade had a few morsels and the champagne.

Laughable - it's a sister whinge about nothing, she whinges about Tahan's Mum being friendly with staff, and then admits that is because she is there every week.
She whinges about staff, then admits they looked after her and made sure she was comfortable.

Like I said I don't want to rehash it again because I could talk forever about it and really don't have the time now. But go back over our discussion/argument from the Jade appreciation thread from a few weeks ago and you'll get all the examples you need.

And those were stuff she posted on the Jade fanpage not an actual interview for the site. IB Times is basically a glorified blog.
 
She signed on to the show. She's being treated the way that best fits the narrative and what the viewers want. No one wants to see her being her boring self. She got the Italian birthday message, a date with Ed and other things and none of them were particularly memorable. Tim and the others getting rewards is more entertaining.
 
Her date with Ed was sabotaged to unhinge her. That his romantic gestures were fake. Quite cruel.

You mean a birthday like everyone else got and a date that was specifically designed to humiliate her? Wow, lucky gal.

They have given her every opportunity to see Ed for the dick he is.
They have given Ed every opportunity to mend his ways.
And combined they have given them every opportunity they can to sort out what the hell they are doing.

And I expect production staff are thoroughly sick of this lame couple.
 
I've thought about this, and I still think Big Brother has done nothing wrong and if Jade has ever 'looked bad' she has no one to blame but herself. I had the same thoughts when I was a fan. But I'm hoping someone could enlighten me.
