I mean take the eviction crowd tonight for example it's painfully obvious that they only cheered for tahan because david paid everyone in the crowd $1000 each. No doubt he paid them another $1000 to boo mikkayla. I mean people don't actually have their own informed opinions.

I'm just so outraged that i'm never watching bb again!

Ok well I'm feeling really bullied and personally insulted now so I may or may not have reported each of you mofo's. If you get banned for a few days, sowwwwyyyyyyyy gehls and dude.

No really though, was she seriously that bad? I don't even know if they had a live feed (well Ch 9s version of it anyway) last year. I was barely hanging on to real life stuff at the time, let alone BB so I fully admit my judgement could've been skewed. I just didn't find anything to really dislike her for and didn't warm to any of the others that much either.

I was thinking about the beloved Stellahood and had a theory that they may have cost her the game by virtue of their overbearing nature... However, knowing that Ben had his partner Ben teed up to spend 25k to get him across the line, I don't think Estelle had a chance. I have been a floater for the past 2 seasons and find this year, the contestants have come in with the benefit of hindsight due to the fact that last year was the first with Channel 9...

Honestly she wasn't too bad and in my moments of weakness I actually liked her, I was just firmly a Benjamite (or how ever you spell it).

Also if I get banned you'll have to do full time Live Feed duty so ner ner na ner ner! :p
 
Honestly - considering Nathan is the one to say that and he was in cahoots with the sugar sisters then I think they are full of it and let's say that Tee DID say that - I'm sure she said "Just Joking" at the end of it :p

I liked her when I saw the back of her, when see was evicted.

And I was a Benjamite fan as well.

I think uber fans are always a danger of being a detriment to a HM and it's almost surprising that some of them haven't cottoned on to that by now. Even thinking about methix or some people in the HM forum, it's like acknowledging that your favourite isn't perfect is ok! No one expects them to be but when people start coming up with bs excuses for the behaviour of someone they don't know and that are completely at odds against what we've seen, it almost puts you off the HM when you may have been neutral about them before. I almost voted for Tahan and Boog this week based on a few posts on here but I reigned myself in. Those kind of fans aren't helpful at all to the people they love.

And with the Ben 25k thing, it was either in a UK or Euro reality show where a family pulled the same stunt for a lot more money (although the prize was also bigger) and they didn't win. And I was thinking earlier when reading this thread, if David or any other family/friend of a HM was spending a crazy amount to save - and if it was a plan like Ed with his brother where he's going to get 50k if he wins, what would be their limit? Tahan's been up 8 times now. How much would you spend each week to try to make her safe and yet make her end prize still worth it. Or for someone like Ed's family when they know he's on life support and has been for weeks. What's the point of spending a shitload every week in the hope of getting 50k back when everyone and their dog knows he has no shot at winning unless every other HM other than Maddie was wiped out in a flood? That's just sunk money.

I feel like this weekend I'm going to have to have a BB marathon of last season and see what I missed. If some of my closest buddies on here have resorted to BULLYING and ABUSING ME then like the benevolent angel that I am, I'm willing to accept my impressions may have been wrong. If they are not, I can only apologise for the ban hammer. I was taught well by the tapeworm's bro.

In my moments of weakness I only had to read a Stellahood post and I'd see the light again.
 
Forgot to say that I'd never even heard of this David Reynolds dude before Tahan went on BB. Nor the Lowers although I'd thought I was a decent Aussie sports fan and watch footy. If anything David at least should be thanking his gf for raising his public awareness outside of V8 fans. I wouldn't even have been able to pick that guy out of a lineup if you'd offered me 100k.

I watched the full season when I was "sick for a week" haha, definitely know what you mean by binge watching. Taystee is my personal fav.

They probably spend nothing, they have the tweens etc voting for them.

Some of the tweens etc would be spending $50 to try & win a date with Ed.
 
It's infuriating, and not fair. This is a public vote, not a sponsorship deal. And the worst thing is Tahan doesn't even deserve the love or recognition, she has a very good chance of being the winner unfortunately.

Did you see some of the people posting their entries to that contest? They were tweens 20-30 years ago. I think he's pulling in the women of an older vintage whereas Drew is getting the young'uns.

But I agree... I think they're spending more time soliciting votes and less time/cash voting. Doesn't make much financial sense to do so, not when there's still a ways to go until the end.
 
I think her percentages can be explained by the circumstances of the past two evictions: last week she was the only girl, and this week she was against an intruder who is still building a fanbase + a HM whose popularity took a MAJOR dip over the past two or so weeks. I'll only become sus if she retains such a huge percentage in a three-way vote with HMs like Tim or Jade in the mix.
