TIM-ED argument transcript...and WHY did it start?

wow, i'm a fan of tim and want ed to go as much as the next guy, but I saw that completely differently.
first, sure, ed was a bit childish to get up in arms about tim's name calling, but tim did decide to go with the personal insult.
but second, tim picked the fight. sure, it was probably calculated, but he has to wear that for starting it.
then, third, tim throws out "you hurt my feelings, that's why i called you an idiot" - ok, look, who's the pussy? i mean, yeah, tim only said that because he had no ground to stand on with his personal insult, so he tried to play victim. ed should have called him on it - and it's a shame he didn't. but that doesn't relieve time of playing the victim
which, fourth, he tries to take back later with "you don't intimidate me" - yeah, right, that's why you had that little tanty earlier and called him an idiot?
no, it's very clear ed does get under tim's skin, and tim is losing his self-control about it. sure, he's winning some childish arguments, but he's coming out of it looking like a petulant child himself - and that can't be good for fence-sitting voters.
bottom line is, even if you like tim, you have to see that he's breaking a key rule (tim brunero's rules) of winning big brother - if you start a fight, you have to end it magnanimously.
the fact that tim couldn't shows that ed has his number - even if ed is too lame to do anything with it.

Haha yeah I get that bit, just can't imagine what exactly Tim seems to have said he did. God I feel old and prudish sometimes compared to what is apparently normal now! All the sex tapes and whatnot. It's not so much the acts or whatever themselves that shock me, but the readiness to make it public.

I think all Tim did is call Ed an idiot and thick. I also think Ed may have an insecurity of some sorts re intelligence because he took great offence to being called an idiot in front of the group.

I'm sorry but I really don't see that much difference between making someone feel like an idiot (even with no vulgarities involved) and calling someone a name. Ed had started it, Tim probably really felt affected by the comment, otherwise he wouldn't lose his usual cool. If it really didn't offend or hurt Tim in a big way, he would simply sweep it away with a joke.
This is all part of what Tahan pointed out, Ed is completely obsessed with Tim and will do and use anything to take him down. The problem here is that Ed does everything he blames Tim for - he manipulates, segregates and talks behind backs. This hypocrisy is what really riles me up.
For a second there, I thought that Ed, Jade and Mikkayla realised that the underdogs do much better in this game, so they want to look like underdogs. However, that doesn't go well with Ed's ego.

Fair enough, I appreciate your point of view and I'm not one to deny anyone their right of opinion. I do however think you're WAY WAY off the mark in your interpretation.
Finally, someone with a handle on reality! As much as I have loved Tim, he knows how to play the victim. The only reason he called Ed an idiot is because Ed (and the others) wasn't interested in Tim's taboo topic. He made a dick of himself then and during the argument.

I wish I knew what the hell started it all. In the argument Tim keeps saying something about how he was trying to get the ball rolling and he felt like Ed was making him look like an idiot so:
A-Tim is full of shit creating an excuse to deflect blame for openly calling Ed an idiot (I love Tim but accept that is plausible)
B-Ed was being a dick making Tim look/feel like an idiot and Tim reacted to it
Until we see what the heck started it all we will never know ....grrrrrr ......when Tim says he was trying to get the ball rolling all I thought was what ball? rolling on what? How did all the start??? I say again grrrrrrrr

yeah I think it was something to do with the taboo subject.
from live feed last night Drew chats to Ed...Mikkayla was in the photo, not sure who else heard, or if Drew and ed were alone...so I wonder if more were upset over what Tim said, or just that Drew was pleased to see they weren't holding a grudge all day
In a quiet moment, Drew congratulates Ed on the way he and Tim have handled themselves after their fight.
"You know what I admire, is whatever happened last night, you wouldn't even know that a conversation like that happened between you two. I don't think I could do that," he says.
"We can separate it," Ed explains. "I don't have any angst towards him, we're just different."
"Well, I'm glad," says Drew with an air of contentment.
Ed's issue is that Tim is immune from his charms. Ed is use to being the center of attention because he looks good with out his shirt on and he played football. This isn't working for him in the house. This is why he's had a massive issue with Tim for a long time. He doesn't buy into that. Tim is immune to the charms and Ed has no other cards to play at getting people to like him.
Ed's actually starting to really crack through not feeling as big, important and loved in the house as he'd like. He thought just being the wonderful Mr Ed, but this stage everyone would love him and he'd sail through. It's part of the reason he's gotten closer to Jade. He needs the validation and attention.
He thought he had Drew, but Drews a bit too switched on. Also Ed fucked himself up with that, when he tried to interfere with Tully. Tully's allegiances lay with Drew. Ed tried to break that up, as if she'd then come running to him and be a follower.
This whole right is more on Ed slowly coming undone. He has a very composed way he approaches things. How he looks, how he acts, how he talks. However part of this, is that he's a much stronger male than he is. This was yet again another case of Ed trying to talk to talk to his supporters. Presenting this stronger male personality trait. However one which he yet again fails to actually fulfill.

Watching that video Ed seems quite articulate...for Ed, and rolls off the points that Ed has problems with Tim. Ok cool Ed, why didn't you tell Tim in your 'heated exchange' exactly what your said to the giws? It's mind boggling, either he's no good at confrontation and get's flustered or he's gutless and can't bring himself to say what he really thinks of Tim.

Tim realizes he is on a television show and tries to provide himself a storyline every week, using the old Tim Brunero playbook. He tried to hook up with a fake birthday party, he buggered around with Drew, he fell in ove with Boog... He gives interesting confessionals, and tries to be a character on a tv show. Yeah, he tries too hard sometimes, or it doesn't come off, but he tries, and every week it changes, depending on the situation.
Ed had an idea a few months ago, and his brain has space for on idea at a time. He noticed Tim was manipulating back when Matty was still in the house, and he has sat on that info so long that it is useless, but nothing else has occurred to him because he is obsessed with this one thought, all his brain has space for.
