Nathan!

Because we are a 100% (some would say 110% - but that's nonsense) politically correct society, challenged only by far out bastions such as Sweden, GB, Norway and Canada... CANADA!! ... and maybe Saudi Arabia?

The bitter truth my friend, the bitter truth :o

So all the happiness and body image accepting is a fake in Australia??

Happiness? What do you mean? We are a reasonably happy place - sunshine does that, and isolation, and low population/huge land mass = happy.
But we have a very high incidence of male youth suicide.

Body image - what?

All that tanning is weird, I don't know anybody who tries to tan anymore.

I'm not sure how to read this but perhaps I was a bit cryptic. It was about smoking. Everybody knows that smoking is bad for our health. Our problem is that we are not allowed to come to this conclusion by ourselves, we HAVE to be told. I find this insulting because it assumes that I'm an idiot.
Those who picked up the habit when they were young and don't have the willpower to quit, will be discriminated against in many nasty little ways. Oh, here's one: At Aussie airports there are no smoking lounges - fly into most countries in Europe, there will be a lounge. Japan, Korea, Singapore, Dubai and any other airport will have a lounge. The smaller, not so posh ones like KL Malaysia, Jakarta, anywhere in Asia, including India, anywhere in the Middle East - I think you get the drift - there are lounges for smokers. Not here in OZ though, because we do the right thing.
About airports in the UK I don't know, haven't been there in a while, but as we can see, Britains are allowed to smoke if they choose to do so. Here in OZ, we pride ourselves that we live in a free country - it's a myth. We are told how to think, what to believe, what to say and what to do. Innovation and the propagation of new ideas is not encouraged.
We have to major political parties. Most adults were, it is fair to say, born into the fellowship of one of those parties. Gramps was a Liberal, dad was a Liberal and I am Liberal and my sons and their sons will be Liberals. If you dare to contemplate moving to the other side of politics, you'll be ostracised. But I am rambling.

Surely anyone will be able to relate to this: Here in OZ and the UK and a few other 'enlightened' countries, if you want to ride a bicycle, you must wear a helmet, it's the law. In the Netherlands where everybody rides a bicycle there is no such law. Why? Are Dutch politicians too daft to legislate a law that forces cyclists to wear a helmet? Do Dutch health funds have too much money, enough to splurge out on preventable head-wounds? Do Dutch citizens have harder craniums? Is it because they eat more cheese? Do the Dutch have more intelligence? I don't know.

What I do know is that the Dutch government gives its citizens at least some freedom to make their own decisions.

Back to political correctness, if we do everything exactly the way we are told to, we are politically correct... nobody wants to stand out as the only one who doesn't comply.

I noticed that yesterday... does this augur well for Nathan or for Justynn?

You seem to have problems with the spelling of "Justynn"... there are dictionaries y'know? ;):p
Haha

I think Justynn will be evicted because everyone seems to hate him and it's completely free to 'vote to evict' him. He has a lot of people talking about him but so did Tully and now she's gone.

Yes, it's already become clear now, that he is but fodder for the ravenous longtime inmates. The refined Mikkayla has already sharpened her knives for the massacre, I'm told.

I'd find it hilarious if the housemates had to choose between Nathan or Justynn on who will go to the presidential suite which would mean they evict whoever they choose without being told this until after. Now they could choose Justynn so they can get away from him and then be relieved when he's evicted, but boy oh boy it'll be fantastic if they choose Nathan, the look on their faces would be worth it.
