Housemate #2 - Tahan

What is it about this girl? I barely noticed her for ages, I enjoyed watching Lucy put her in her place through the wall... but over the last month, well, now she would have to be my favourit girl still in there.

A few more put downs of Ed, and a Drew Tim Tahan trio has my full approval. Entusiasm, even.

she is immature but she is proving to be intelligent and is playing a strategic game, if the Sugar, Mikk, Jade group loses a cog Tahan will be in decent shape

I will concede that she seems to have improved, at least in what we have seen. She can be a lot of fun I like when she gets up to stuff with Drew/Tim -- wish she would stay away from dead Ed. Still question about that "I'm better than them" comment though.

I don't understand her reasoning for saving Ben. He would clearly be up there in the top 2 most likely to be saved at this point, so it can't be because he needed it. She probably wants one of the girls out, but removing Ben might gain them MORE votes, I don't see it weakening their chances.

I think it was because of the Tim/Ed 'rivalry'; she is on good terms with both of them and picking one might affect her standing with the other (especially if she saved Tim). Drew was a viable option too but he seems to play both sides a bit and there are more perks to picking Ben.

Ben was a good option because no one would begrudge her saving him: he is probably the most neutral housemate alliance-wise and is universally well-liked (in the house). Also, saving him makes her look good to his fans (who she must know are numerous), especially because it's usually the reverse: people copping out and choosing to switch him with a nominee because they know he won't cause a fuss. It was actually probably the most intelligent decision she could have made game-wise whilst keeping in line with her own preferences, I think. I've always thought her attempts at 'tactics' are laughable but she did quite well there, if it was indeed a tactical decision.

Tahan would've been upset with Tim for not saving her the previous week so I get why she didn't save him out of resentment. I'm not sure why she didn't pick Drew, it made the most sense from my perspective. It seems to me that Tahan and Drew are reasonably close, much closer than the other girls anyway but opted against saving him. Nevermind, with 6 people up for eviction one of the girls (or Ed) would almost certainly get evicted, most likely the sickly sweet sisters.

I don't really see the need to look under the surface with Tahan on this one. I think she chose Ben because of the reason she said, which is that he usually gets chosen to be swapped IN for eviction, and she wanted to swap him out for a change.
Tahan is pretty straight up the line when it comes to saying and doing as she does.
If it were Ed or Tim or anyone else who had the power - I'd question it, but Tahan doesn't really care, so long as she is safe.

I don't know... I mean, when she was listing housemates she wanted to take to the PS she was focused on Ed, Drew and Tim, not Ben. Surely they would be her first choices to save? She seemed deliberative when deciding too ("give me a minute"). I think there's more to it than the reasons she gave in any case.

She also thinks all 3 are safe, popular, guys with their own fans - yes we know Ed isn't but she doesn't. And fair enough to spread the goodies around, Tahan is a good sport, & Ben doesn't appreciate luxury much anyway, he already got the best prize.

Hard to say, that was all cut and edit, who knows if BB was listing the HMs to Tahan and Tahan was thinking out loud, BB actually made her decision for her when Tahan wasn't really ready to say for certain who she wanted to choose, thankfully BB agreed to rock, paper, scissors, that took the pressure off Tahan in a way.

Yeah, you could both be right. Given some of the """""strategical""""" decisions she's made in the past it does seem unlikely she would suddenly take such a deep and considered approach.

You forget, Tahan has been nominated week after week, Tim saved Mikkayla and then he saved Jade instead for selfish reasons so Tahan doesn't owe him anything. And then, Drew saved Jade even though by then Tahan badly needed a safe from nomination. She doesn't owe either one anything. Tahan like Heidi says is a straight playing girl and I liked her from the beginning! even when viewers and the housemates called her a mean girl. I always felt that she was misunderstood. She did say the sisters were nice but she couldn't stand their fake personas. I gUess everyone has something which niggles them. I personally think it would have blown over if not for Mikkayla keeping the fires burning and spreading it to Jade. There was something abt Mikkayla whenever she praises someone, it never seemed genuine, more like to butter up the person. Granted, that she loves to cook and fawns over those close to her, good for her but I didn't like the way she goes abt trying to convince others and Nathan that Tahan is boring and mean and selfish. I never saw any selfishness on Tahan's part. For the most part she was neutral. She has respect for Mikkayla but little does she know that Mikkayla has been doing a major bitch behind her back. Tahan is a traight forward girl and I like her even more now. She's observant and astute and has intelligence. Even Nathan seems to take a shine to her despite Mikkayla's warning. She knows Ed for what he is, not a smart guy. I think she has brought a lot to the house. Saving Ben was a very smart move on her part. I don't think Ed has ever been to the presidential suite, correct me if I'm wrong,

I'm sure that comment is the only way she can cope in the BB house, by believing in herself and staying strong, not showing weakness.
There have been times when Tahan has felt like giving up too so her strength is not letting others put her down.
Yes her words cause friction and this in turn makes the other girls want to tear her down.
Having someone like Tim in the house is a strength that she can relate to, Tim has been questioned by the girls about his friendship with Tahan and Tim has denied that they are close.
Tahan really needs to be mentally strong to survive.

Tahan has always been a sporting girl and psyching yourself that you are better than your competitors is one way to give yourself the boost and confidence. I too think she is better than them. Call it being over confident or arrogance but I really don't see much of it in the house. For the most part she has been sporting and not easily offended. She even expected Jade to wrestle the flag from her but I guess Jade had already admitted defeat. I must say I was very impressed with her knowledge of Flags. She chose Ireland instead of Wales for leeks which was close. She thought it was leeches. Jade was no contender.

I would've saved Ed or Drew. Tim, Ed and Drew are probably the only housemates that would not nominate her next week. By not saving any of those three, she's increased the chances of her losing another genuine ally next week and leaving her further outnumbered in the game. More enemies, less friends in the house = more nom points for her and less points for other people that she wants to get rid of.

I know she probably didn't think it through but she should've because Ed and Drew might be splitting the pretty boy vote and one of them could actually go.

If you review Mikkayla's and Tim's diary room rants, I really don't see any difference. They can say what ever. Tim thinks he's the one making the house interesting, Mikkayla's her insecurities and her rights over the kitchen and Mr. Clooney.

Don't agree there, they nominated her the last time, Ed and Drew. I think they see her as a potential threat on a competitive level. Beside, Jade, the sisters and Mikkayla always nominate her anyway, so it wouldn't have made any difference.
