Bullying

This is monitored every season, was expecting this thread from day 2.

Just relax, if it was that bad, it wouldn't be aired and something would be done.
 
This is exactly what's wrong with the world. People accepting bad behavior without regards to the people it is affecting.

Very few people would say Tahan acted appropriately and they'd also say Mikkayla didn't either. As much as I adore Mikkayla she's not some innocent victim in their arguments and in fact she has a whole 'pack' to support her whereas Tahan has no one. The issue is when people throw around the word bullying when it doesn't apply to the situation. It's probably the most misused word in Australia today and it detracts from real cases of bullying.

I don't see too many people saying they accept Tahan's behaviour, just that it does not constitute bullying. Hey I'm a Mikkayla fan & not particularly enamored with Tahan at the moment & I don't see it as bullying - just rude & socially unacceptable. She got no support from others about - in fact several told her she was in the wrong. So I don't see a problem.
 
Princess (Tahan), as she has been known all her life no doubt by her family, friends and hangers on, are not there to feed her the affirmations she has heard all her life.

It is no surprise at all the Tahan finds situations that would never affect her on the "Outside" do so inside. She knows she is the pin-up among the girls and plays the just a joke card like you and i breath each breath.

Problem is, she is finding a hot body does not get you everything you (her) deserves in the house.

Good value though, but just light that big titted mother daughter contestant a few years ago, her appearance here will be the pinnacle of her career/fame whichever way you wish to call it.

BUT wow, having said that...Jade is another package altogether, way more sophisticated in game play than any other, but that is not what this thread is about...Cheers

No - there are no bully targets.

Even Ben is fine defending himself from Tim's taunts and teasing.

Mikka and Tahan fight, fighting is alright you know, it can even be good for stuff - people just get so weird about people fighting.

But the girl pack is starting to look quite nasty.

Yes believe it or not nasty people exist in this world and some people not only accept it they also enable it! And guess what its even more rife between young women who are actually known to bitch and be bitches!! Can you imagine that?? Not to sure what ivory tower you have been living in, but time to leave home, it's not bullying! It's normal immature behaviour!
 
The girls are just being girls. put enough of them together pretty or plain they will fight,however BB cant let it be bullying, thats against the law.
 
Rights just normal behavior. I apologize then for mistaking it for cruelty. Guess we should all act like that and call it normal behavior.

Listen posters, Kenn is correct Bullying in Australia is against the law - get your head around this concept please.
BB is not immune, if bullying happens Bb would chuck em out they don't need lawsuits.

And as a person who had a relative die from bullying, - get a grip and stop throwing around inappropriate terms.

Fighting HMs should not freak you out so much, unless you never stand up for anything you believe in and never engage in debates.
 
Okay I confused bullying with being a c**t go forth and and continue your apparent normal life where you defend the right to be a complete ass to others.
 
What is with some of the Mikkayla supporters losing their shit in the last 48hours? Must be the heat.

I think that's the point though, that there is no group behind Tahan. The bitching she's done has been very high school, and if others had joined in, then yes, it had the potential to become a bullying situation - except that no one has joined in. No one was laughing along with her imitation of Mikkayla, they all made it pretty clear they didn't agree with it. In a different series, with different housemates, she could have been a hate figure, but in this series she's been rendered benign by the other housemates' refusal to join in her bitching.

Mikkayla, on the other hand, does have a support group around her, she's not isolated, she's perfectly capable of sticking up for herself, and she's no angel herself. It isn't a battle of powerful against powerless, it's a battle of equals, or if anything, Mikkayla has the upper hand.
 
Tahan is the isolated one. She's the one with her back up against the wall with all the other girls as a block against her.

It's kind of like the classic bullying situation. The outside lashes back, lashes out. Then the bullies are all, 'what's wrong with you, why are you pyscho.' And as inevitably what happens, they then themselves get in trouble because that behavior is easier to classify and observe. Than lots of constant little things which add up.

Can you please give examples of bullying please? I'm not attacking, I'm generally interested in how people perceive bullying and as I don't think tahan is a bully, I'd be interested to try and understand why you think this is the case
 
A definition of bullying

Bullying can happen anywhere: at school, travelling to and from school, in sporting teams, between neighbours or in the workplace.

Bullying behaviour can be:

verbal eg name calling, teasing, abuse, putdowns, sarcasm, insults, threats
physical eg hitting, punching, kicking, scratching, tripping, spitting
social eg ignoring, excluding, ostracising, alienating, making inappropriate gestures
psychological eg spreading rumours, dirty looks, hiding or damaging possessions, malicious SMS and email messages, inappropriate use of camera phones.

Conflict or fights between equals and single incidents are not defined as bullying. Bullying behaviour is not:

children not getting along well
a situation of mutual conflict
single episodes of nastiness or random acts of aggression or intimidation.
