Is Tim's sudden interest in Lucy tactical?

I hope he's not just using her. It'll end up like Michael and Estelle and he'll go downhill fast.

pawlini, don't you see all that what you are saying is just assumptions, again he can't know if Ben is popular, he can't know that the outside world want another romance or one at all. He just does not know. We can go back and forth on this. You will find any reason against Tim as you don't like him. It's that simple. My opinion is that tim gets bored quite easily and needs to be entertained. He is a guy, she is a girl, they are both single, she strokes his ego for all I know. I can't convince you and you won't convince me.

i think we are giving tim too much credit. i don't think everything he is doing is calculated... just remember he is human

How do we know she's not using him. I mean with Caleb gone what's her storyline........ She was onto Caleb pretty fast and how many days has it been since his gone and she's kissing Tim. Just hope Tim knows what he is doing.......and doesn't become a loved up duo.

I think Lucy would be up for it. one of the friday night parties when she was pashing caleb, she also grabbed Drew's butt. Tim did say to Heidi something like that they should be nice to each other since they are both up this week, as they would probably be seen as a better duo , than drew and tully.... so I think it's part strategy and partly because she's now available and he's wanting some affection, and he doesnt think it would be seen in a bad light.
I will be disappointed in Tim as I dont like Lucy.

Yes...
He has said throughout the show that if he could hook up with someone in the house it would be Heidi.
(I'm guessing because he is attracted to her personality, similar jobs and ages)
Lucy has nothing in common with Tim, but she is single and Tim is a sucker for a cuddle/kiss regardless of personality *cue Jasmin*
He will make it out like he likes her, it will get air time and be another side of Tim and an alliance and way to influence.

I don't disprove of it as long as she doesn't get hurt...

Tim is very much the Narcissist. I remember him getting irritated that people didn't understand the meaning of Narcissist, which bothered him, because he is one! I love it that Tim is so different to the norm. Remember his reasoning for choosing the Ice Cream? "This hairdryer doesn't benefit ME in any way, so why would I choose it?" ( Of course, if he thought it through, he'd have realised being kind can be rewarded by the public perception being elevated)

I wouldn't have much time for him on a personal level, but as an addition to the Game, he's ideal. Whether you're a Tim fan or not, you have to see that he is a Strategist. He wants to get as far as possible in the game, and is using whatever means necessary to stay in the house. There is a huge financial and fame incentive to do so.

Of course he can't "know" what the public think, or how they vote. What he can know is what has worked for housemates in previous incarnations of the show. He also seems aware that Television is about ratings, and more people will be curious to check out the show if they think interesting things are going on.

Aside from all this, Tim does indeed have the raging hormones of any guy his age, so having a snuggle buddy is going to be a preference. Especially one who he might see as not on his level intellectually - he does enjoy his Machiavellian ministrations afterall!

I agree with most of this. I also love Tim in the show although probably would struggle with it in real life.

The only thing I wish people would drop is the narcissist thing. Just cause he labelled himself that way doesn't make it true. He is far too laid back about a lot of things that have happened for him to be a true narcissist. I would have said the same thing about the hair dryer but that doesn't make me a narcissist, it makes me someone who doesn't mind making selfish choices in select scenarios (I.e. ones where no one will really be disadvantaged .....I don't think Tahans experience in the house has been severely disadvantaged or restricted due to lack of a hair dryer so why not eat the ice cream).

The Lucy thing, hmm maybe he is just developing a fondness/attraction. I'm assuming that's all it is at this point. He probably knows it will also add interested so could be genuine but with a side benefit in his mind as well (if that makes sense).

I have always thought he has a better perception about what people outside are thinking than the other HMs do, but after the last eviction he seemed to be really rattled. They do seem to forget that Sonia does say 'in no particular order' ...

I think it's just his newest plot to invent more airtime for himself to be honest. He does it better than anyone.

The sugar sisters are out of the lime light at the moment, something has happened they seem to avoid situations or people in the house.
Caleb wasn't even sure why they seemed to drift apart, perhaps the girls were annoyed Caleb liked Tahan and didn't commit to one side.
I'm wondering if Tim is bringing them back into the picture so that we can actually see who they are and what they are thinking.
Tim seems to bring out the real personalities of people and my thoughts would be that if the girls were left to their own devices they could fly under the radar.
Tim is a smart guy, I don't think he would take things too far, Tim has everyone eating out of his hand.

Did anyone see Lucy gazing lovingly into Tim's eyes and smiling, I thought Tim was like.... watch the movie. :D

It's all very interesting. Tim certainly knows how to spark interest in the BB house.
So... yes, I think the interest in Lucy is tactical.

Or..... perhaps after sleeping in the same bed as Drew has sparked up some feelings.

On the contrary, Tim made his mark on the show when he took the ice cream, and he solidified his place as our collective favourite when he did it a second time.

Whether this is true if it comes up a third time is an interesting question... but as of this moment, Tim was by far correct in his estimation that the hair dryer would do nothing for him.

I think everything Tim does is tactical

Drew is the only one who thinks with his penis first (oh except for Jade, she's gone into BB thinking its Farmer needs a wife or something)

Well someone here thought she went on Please Marry My Boy, if so, perhaps she still thinks she's on it?

I kinda wonder if Tim always liked Lucy but because of Caleb, never let on til now?

its hard to tell with Tim
she's a big girl, im sure she can look after herself.

Tongue in cheek
“These Election Day pancakes are so good,” Tim critiques his own handy work at the table.

The breakfast club quiz the chef and Lucy about their passionate romance last night, prompting Tim to recant and reason…

“Lucy, you live on the other side of Australia to me…” he makes excuses, thinking she might want more. But the blonde hottie is far from interested, reminding him what she said when they first pecked. “Less tongue and go slower.”

“Maybe we need to teach you how to kiss, darl,” Heidi adds to the joke.

Housemates All Let Us Rejoice
With everyone still waking up, Tim asks, “Does anyone want to sing the National anthem?” He’s excited that it’s ‘Federal Election Day’.

Interrupting his rendition, Heidi then teases the long-haired lout about locking lips with Lucy. He hopes the younger sister forgets the whole affair and he doesn’t have to ‘have the talk’ with her.

haha he did seem over keen when kissing Jasmin as well:)

I'm sure it's been 3 times by now - the first time she was outraged and upset; the second time she laughed and cried simultaneously; the third time was last week, which led to her throwing his clothes in the pool and his jacket over the wall.

Or did I imagine one of those?
