Housemate #2 - Tahan

Tahan says what she is thinking, I don't see her as being rude but more true to herself, she may not have the most diplomatic way of saying things but that's Tahan, she has spunk.

I'm not ready to see Tahan go yet and while Mikkayla is in the nominated group, *fingers crossed*, Tahan may have a better chance at staying in.

Agree.
Really don't see the appeal of her at all or why so many want to save her.
I see her as a shallow, nasty, ignorant little bully who likes to pick on those she perceives as a little weak or vunerable.
Judges ppl solely on their looks.
 
Tahan is often misunderstood by the girls. She is the kind of person who tells you what she thinks no holds barred. I like her alot more so than any of the girls. She hangs out with Matt and Caleb cause they understand her, like her and treat her like a sister. she cant help it if she's born with a beautiful face. the girls cant handle a person who is direct( in their minds she is bitchy) but then they do alot of bitching behind and put on a front which is the worst kind. Tim desreves what he got from Tahan. He did tell her that he would give her her hairdryer the next time and he reeneged. She's feisty and she's got spunk. she's not your average simpering girl and she happens to be beautiful.She is also not two faced like Mikkayla or the rest. She has more to her character than the rest of the girls. Dislike Mikkayla for being so gleeful when Tim told her he cut Tahan's curling Tongs and threw it into the pool. THat was a truly spiteful and nasty deed. I dislike her Mikkayla and Tim even more now. Nothing to say abt the Saccharin sisters, they are just that. Even their nominations reflect them as being vindictive. I'm with Tahan even more so now. Just love her for her individuality, she's just not your average girl. Caleb and Matt see that in her.
 
On a further note, Tim is just as bitchy. He has met his match in Tahan. He thought he could bully her but she gave him a taste of his own medicine and how did he take it? Like a vindictive bitch destroying her possession. Tahan would have never done what she did if not for the others who egged her on. Anyone could see that.

Yes, she is pretty but hard faced.
Yes, she is direct by being nasty to people's faces but she also bitches behind other's backs with the best of them and delights in picking the sisters to pieces and ridiculing them to Matt and the others when they're out of earshot.

I like Tahan but I think she has to be careful of being other people's scapegoat, and get led into things. For instance, the whole impersonating Mikkayla was someone else egging her on. The throwing clothes in the pool and over the fence was someone else's idea, she just is the one who did it. I just don't want to see her copping all the blame for things that other people egg her on to do.
 
Agree Tim bitches behind ppl's backs as well but his bitch sessions and impressions are highly entertaining.

I like Jade but had to laugh at him mimicking her fawning over Ed and hanging off his every word in the presidential suite to Drew the other night. ;)
His impression of Tully was funny as well.

They are after all living their lives in a fishbowl and are probably not living their lives normally. Sometimes prejudices reflect in your criticisms. But it is all good fun or is it?
 
When a woman confronts someone in their face, She is considered a bitch but a guy does that and it is considered acceptable. Gender bias here.

Nah, Tim just does it in a humorous way.
Tahan just comes across as small minded and petty.
Not a gender thing at all.
 
I don't think anyone could make Tahan do anything she didn't want to do.

I've always said you can tell a lot about a person by the company they keep - the fact Tahan's joining vicious bitches like Matt, Ed and Heidi says it all to me. Disappointing.

And the difference between Tim and Tahan is malice, not gender. Tim's only done one malicious/vindictive thing in the house, which was cut the cord. Tahan, on the other hand, has habitually said things and done things with malice.

Getting led into things by people you want to 'fit in' with doesn't necessarily mean that she's not strong. If she didn't want to do those things to start with I doubt she would have.

Like Heidi and co she enjoys bitching and putting others down.
She perceives this group to be the popular, "cool" group and the others to be the outcasts to look down on and hang shit on.

I agree des moines. The gilt has gone off the lily of Tahan for me. She has changed so much in the past week or so, IMO.
Harsh and bitchy are the two words I'd use to describe her now.

I think she is the housemate this year that I have changed my feeling toward the most often. Started out thinking she was an entitled princess, then she seemed like a great girl with a sense of fun and a no-holds-barred attitude. Now she just seems mean.
 
I don't know what I'm missing but I don't see anything superficial about Tahan, to me she seems more tomboyish than girlie girlie.
The girl can dress up or down and still look amazing, she just has that natural beauty.

As much as Tahan would like her hairdryer back she does not seem that annoyed at not having it but appears to be just hamming it up.

It's ok for Tim to ham it up for the cameras, he enjoyed his 5 minutes of fame eating ice cream, I don't see a problem with Tahan doing the same, it just seems strange if you were just to sit there and not react about the dryer and the other HM's enjoyed their 5 minutes of fame getting Tim back, all in all they were laughing until the cord was cut!

I don't mean superficial in looks but in the superficial, shallow way she views others according to looks and social status.
 
We can just all agree to disagree. I like Tahan period and if you think you can aim an insult against me personally. You have another thing coming, sorry. She is different. I like her, apples and oranges they say. I like most of her qualities just as you like some of the other house members. I may do or say things differently if i were her but i'm not and she is what you see is what you get. she has more gumption that i ever had. No need to get personal here. I wish you a good rest of the day. Will continue to defend her as I see fit.
