Episode Day 30 (Tue 27/08/13 9:30pm): Late Night Feast #1

Too much diary room and too staged, but good to have something back that isn't family friendly - though natural conversations and events rather than events controlled by BB would be best. Good way to launch the series though - and one advantage of it focusing on a set up event was it kind of felt like live streaming.

TV Tonight raise a good point too about how a lot of the stuff included isn't actually unsuitable for the PG 7pm slot.

Ben really is a nothing housemate, so very pointless. That's why I hate how much focus he gets. They're focusing on nothing.
Really agree - he adds literally nothing to the show.

I wish they stopped interuppting with the bloody talking! Just show us the late night feast!
So annoying - let viewers see what's happening, not HMs talking about what happened.

Word.

Are you sure? That's definitely Matt's body and briefs

It's Matt

Drew doesn't wear that type of undies, and he was wearing long pants, and we've seen Matt in those undies before. Matt picked up the quilt and put it back on them then turned aroud (toward the camera) to go back to his bed on this side of Ed's bed. Drew's bed is up the other end of the room.

Way too contrived and focused on adolescent party games. I don't think I'll watch that again (who am I kidding, I probably will). It just makes me nostalgic for the old Up Late days. It's like there's this total lack of confidence in the HMs' capacity to provide entertainment with interesting conversation and character development. Everything's so contrived now, with episodes revolving around weekly tasks, and now this. I was hoping it would just be a compilation of all the interesting convos the HMs had during the week that were too adult for 7pm. I guess it's the last few seasons where BB was miscast with bland, uninteresting under-25s who couldn't string two sentences together that has set this trend where the producers think they need to manufacturer narrative arcs and conflict instead of letting them develop organically. Disappointed!!!

It was Matt - trust me I nearly vommed everywhere when confronted by it.

Boys; let me tell you, the grundy's have got to be one of the biggest turn offs known to women IMO

Just watching Late Night Feast on Catchup. I'm up to the paert where they're talking about refugees and the "refugee problem." The level of discourse is pathetic. They have only talked about having them in our community. None of them have mentioned drownings at sea. This is why I hate Australia.

because they only showed a small part of a conversation on refugees? confuzzled

OK. Now I've just watched matty talk about his time in Afghanistan, and watched Tully put her arms around him while he was still speaking. That was sickening to watch. Tully has gone down in my esteem because of that foolish gesture. Heidi's attempt to put herself in the good books by talking about going to Gallipoli was sickening as well.

Totally agree are these housemate so repressed BB has to force them to do anything that maybe remotely interesting

Really BB all these weeks and you have to manufacture some adult content

or are there natural adult conversations to hot for even a late night show

seems this wasn't really aimed at adults really

I was wishing for Kerry Packers ghost to ring up and say get that cr@p off

you could see matt just wanted to squish her like a mosquito

Knew it! She is such a slut.

They sleep in the same bed again and I guarantee you they've doona danced.

How is she a slut?? think you're being a bit harsh there! She has said all along that she is interested in Ed. He is the one that is sending mixed signals to her.

You want to talk about a slut.. did you see Tully and Drew.. several times Drew has been seen pulling his pants up after he gets out of bed. It doesn't appear to be from his pants falling down in his sleep. She also stated that Drew along with some of the other boys from the house she'd be with or marry.

If I was her girlfriend.. I'd be pissed!

you've got to be kidding me ... he's pulling his pants up so therefore Tully is responsible
ROTF - best laugh I've had in ages

why did BB tell the HMs it was their night off? was that to lull them into some false sense of security ... night off from being watched 24/7 so go ahead let your hair down? thereby hoping they'll really cut loose and give them some great content for their first Feast show?

I didn't think of it that way but you might be right because I don't know what else they could have been taking a night off from.
