It's so obvious. He's trying to get away with whatever he can without compromising his reputation. He is sending her mixed messages which leads her to believe she still has a chance. You don't play legsies under a doona with someone you aren't interested in, but yet he tells other HM's he has no interest in her. If they were on the outside, I think Jade would be the type of girl he would "root and boot".

You hit the nail on the head with "reputation". As I have previously stated, AFL players in social circumstances are very much like this. They are very concerned about ruining their reputation. I actually disagree that Jade and Ed would sleep with each other after the show. He would not want to hurt her feelings nor want to risk any negative publicity should Jade turn on Ed and reveal all to the media. AFL players take their image VERY seriously!
 
I feel bad for Ed since he's losing his mates one by one: Sharon, Xavier, Jasmin. Who will be next? :( Did someone catch what Ed whispered into Jasmin's ear before she left the BB house?

He wants an AFL job in media, PR, player management etc.

No point in ruining that for a 2 minute fling in the house.

Xavier at least had some common sense, don't understand why he got booted with all those crazy women still left.
 
Tonight's episode reminded me of what I found a bit strange about Ed a while ago. The scene where Jade is crying because of the Jaz/Ed kiss while Ed is right on the bed next to her. Maybe production really amplified Jade's mic, but I still think it would be difficult not to see her crying there, and yet Ed doesn't react to it at all. Either he's a total zombie or he's quite cold. Or we got an edited version to make things look like that, of course.
 
[MENTION=35054]asdf[/MENTION]: I believe that Ed was sleeping (slightly snoring if I recall) when Jade was crying. So he was oblivious to her reaction to the "Edmin" pash in the spa.
 
That would make much more sense. I just remembered him sort of rolling there so he may indeed have been at least half a sleep or so.

The sound of a rooster crowing is the Housemates’ wakeup call today.

In Bedroom One, Ed hops out of his bed and lies down next to Heidi where Jasmin used to sleep. He strokes the name plate of the lastest ex-Housemate and looks a little sad.

There’s movement in Bedroom Two as sleepy Housemates gradually awaken. “Wow, what a night,” says Katie, yawning.

So how often would Ed be in his jocks sharing a bed with somebody like Heidi, in real life?

Something tells me Ed is playing the field with all the girls (and boys), relying on sex appeal not to be nominated.
 
Hope its not like Ray last year, he was many people's favourite but people took him for granted & he was evicted :(
