Housemate #2 - Tahan

Her teetotal situation may be for religious reasons too. Malaysia has a lot of Muslims, for example - although far less fundamentalist than in other places (re hijabs, burqas etc). Some SDAs and (all) mormons also refuse alcohol and caffeine. Does she have any dietary things? Like, does she avoid pork and shellfish, which may indicate she's a SDA?

I think the fundamentalist thing has more to do with restrictive cultures than anything. Malaysia to me is very very Muslim - that doesn't mean it has to be fundamentalist or strict, that's a misconception.

Maybe alcohol just doesn't mesh with either culture she was brought up in? Or maybe it's a personal preference. Who knows. If she was really all that religious (enough to give up alc for it) IDK if she'd pose half-naked in lingerie. She looks a lot fitter than she used to be so maybe she gave it up for fitness reasons too.

I love how people always get immediately fascinated with why someone wouldn't drink, haha. I know I indulged this time, but mostly because it's Tahan and I don't think she gets enough focus on the show/wanna know more etc.
 
Just exploring possibilities and mentioned religion cos it hadn't already been mentioned :)
 
Am living in Malaysia, just got back from Aus. Not a Muslim but I don't think what Tahan chooses to drink or not has anything to do with religion. I know the Muslims here are heavy coffee and tea drinkers, the more open minded ones do drink alcohol. I think it is more of a personal choice or she could be having an allergy. I'm sure her bf drinks alcohol, he's a race car driver.
 
Then again out of respect for those in her family who are Muslims, she chooses not to drink alcohol( her upbringing)
 
I just sent a save vote through for Tahan. Every vote counts. Mikkayla and Tahan are my 2nd and 3rd favourite housemates and I just voted for Mikk as well. I really hope neither of them go!!!
 
Am not surprised Lucy is scared of Tahan, rightly so as Tahan has caught onto her fake ness. She's afraid that the rest of the housemates will wisen up courtesy of Tahan.
 
Tahan supporters need to be aware that shes in a lot of trouble next week. Had second lowest save vote tonight tied with Matt.

Plus Heidi who hates her (wonder why!?) has the superpower this week so she will more than likely be able to save herself and shes one of the only ones Tahan may be able to stay over.

I'm getting this feeling next week we will see Tahan pull a Ray, in the sense of a big personality that feels like they should stay longer getting a 4th boot, way to soon!
 
Heide has the superpower and she always nominates Tahan so she'll probably be up this week also we need to vote for her this time more than last week, especially if it's only 3 people up

I like Tahan a lot more than Ray who seemed to have a relatively stiff personality. Maybe some are stereotyping Tahan, but she seems to take a joke quite well and not be really that stuck up at all. Maybe if she cried more like Mikkayla she'd get more votes.
 
Heidi has a grudge against Tahan. Her reasons for nominating her was that she was a crybaby ( hair dryer) princess, then because she got switched by Tahan for Mikkayla. After that it was the altercation with the Barbies. I don't trust Heidi, she's not genuine. Her consoling Jade was alot of bull. If I were her, just tell Jade don't use and flaunt your body, use your head. Jade is not insecure, she was being defensive. Her tears are of self pity. Heidi is just as two faced if not more so than Mikkayla. Mikkayla is all out for herself. She is self opinionated. Tahan is still my favourite female in the house. The Barbies, lets not even go there.
 
^ I agree. This past episode showed me how shitty a person Mikkayla really is. I CAN'T believe the way she speaks about the other HMs. She's making herself look awful.

I love Tahan. We really need to make sure she stays next week, as we all know she'll be up again.
 
Yeah I'll be pissed if she leaves, I think she'll be up again but hopefully her fanbase can rally.
Why is Heidi such a hater? She doesn't appear to like anyone that's female and easy on the eye.
