Hi everyone!
Nice Straylia Day tribute up there mutleyp.
I am feeling much better, just needed a day or two without food. My dad says eating is just a habit, I think he is right.
Hope you all had a great Aus Day and are enjoying the weekend.
MrB cut himself badly yesterday giving one of the horses a pedi (as you do) so we spent time in local ER getting seen to. He is fine, cross with himself for being so silly, but he is all stitched & tetanused & antibioticed & not whinging much. I do have to put up with him underfoot however as it is pouring rain and he can't do his outdoor stuff with a bung hand.
I think I may lie in bed & listen to the rain and read, a luxury for me. Have a fun day everyone!

^^ Oh I hear you loud & clear!! I served a customer at lunch & he had to ring back to confirm a couple of things & he referred to me as "the young girl at the front desk" Thanks!I'm a married women & mother in her 30's not a young girl! seriously for a second I didn't know whether to be flattered or offended, but offended won out in the end!
lol I had a truck driver wanting to deliver huge stuff to our shop instead of the warehouse on Friday. Told him he would have to take it to warehouse instead, he demanded to speak to my boss!!! Big mistake. I asked him for HIS boss' name and started dialling the head office number of the freight company. He had change of heart and delivered it to warehouse, then badmouthed "the crazy woman" to our warehouse guy. Warehouse guy told him he was lucky to escape with his testicles, that crazy woman IS the boss and he'd better remember that in future. Will they never learn not to mess with us?

Hi bonnie, glad you survived the bug.
I do believe your dad is right about food, in the early days they would have only had basic food and not much of it and worked the land with their backs and hands. You would think with all that manual labour you would need a take away down the road to get a quick bite to eat and fill up.
We probably do less manual work now and eat more food than we need.
Hope MrB is not in too much pain and heals quickly. Men don't like to be out of action for too long.
Have yourself a great long weekend and enjoy the luxury.

Truck drivers sit up high in their trucks, they forget when they are out of the trucks they are no longer King Of The Roads.

Glad to hear you feeling better BonBon! I agree eating is habitual compared to our bodies actual requirements! I hope MrB is feeling ok! Remember his hand maybe stitched but his ego is bruised!!! WE men are silly things!
Hope everyone has a great long weekend!

bonnie - hope mr B's ego & hand are on the mend and you are feeling better too. Nothing worse than feeling poorly then having an emotional hubby to deal with on top (so much worse when it's self inflicted!

Nah he's fine thanks Coops. Is just that he spends a lot of time outside doing stuff and I am stuck with him in the house. Is like having my own lol cat "iz in ur kitchen, walkin on ur clean floor", that kind of stuff.
