Must be good to have shed-loads of money to blow on a wedding... we did ours for $3300, (but only had 12 people present)

Scene 1
Fade in: November 4th 1996 evening...
At the top notch Garden Restaurant (now gone..) at the Parmelia Hotel in Perth. Fancy dinner, anniversary of our first date, nice wine and Champers. I was only getting relief work as a teacher that year, and Raisa was studying so this was seriously blowing our budget.
Scene 2: Kings Park War Memorial overlooking central Perth.
Raisa's pretty clued in on what's coming as there's no reason for us to be here at this time of night, hot date (yeah right..) or not. Down on one knee, crowd of people all stopping in their tracks to watch me make a fool of myself, pop the question.... YES! (phew!..)
12 years go past.........still not actually married yet. 2 Houses paid off though, both working full time now at least
Scene 3: 2008 The second proposal...
Walking down Hay Street on a shitty rainy July afternoon having pickup up Raisa from work. Cold, tired, grumpy. Also we've just recently paid for a 2 week holiday to Italy in the October school hols. Our first since going to Bali in 1998. Just as we get to the car I look at Raisa and say "We could get married before we go to Italy you know..?" Raisa says "Ok.." and we get in the car out of the rain.
6 weeks later we were married!
..and we had a lovely 'honeymoon' (by default so to speak as we were going anyway) in Italy btw... Rome, Pisa, Venice and Florence then back to Rome
Yep, romance... I haz it.

Beautiful bride and love the flowers and bridesmades dresses. Guessing she got loads of discounts a freebies there is a fair bit of editorial style advertising in the blog.
